We ate here on a Monday evening as a lot of other places were closed so we didn’t have much choice. The tapas didn’t look very attractive. A lot looked more like mini portions of dinners to be honest, pieces of chicken in gravy, pieces of pork in gravy, meatballs in lots of tomato sauce etc. We ordered four and when they eventually came one of them was wrong. (Russian salad instead of meatballs so not even similar sounding). It was replaced and then the waitress came and complained that they still had a table reserved for us further back. When we arrived we had asked if we could have a table at the front instead which the waiter said was no problem. It wasn’t our fault they left the first one reserved. A little later they brought more tapas which we hadn’t ordered. We ordered rice pudding and coffees together. The rice came on its own and we waited over half an hour for the coffees! We asked another waiter if she had forgotten them and then it still took a while for them to come and they weren’t very hot. Then when we got the bill it included an orange juice which we hadn’t ordered! Very disorganised service, lots of mistakes and indifferent food. We’ll have to find somewhere else for a...
Read moreIn summary, if you're looking for a meal at the port of Estepona, this restaurant might be worth a visit for certain dishes, but it's important to keep in mind the value for money and the potential for a long wait.
The restaurant located at the port of Estepona offers a mixed experience. The service was decent, though the very long wait can be frustrating. As for the food, the pasta was unfortunately overcooked, and the salad lacked seasoning, which diminished the overall experience. On the positive side, the prawns pil pil and calamari were delicious, although the portions, particularly for the prawns, were quite small considering the price.
It’s also worth noting that this restaurant seems to be more popular with tourists than locals, which might explain the slightly higher prices for the portions served. The waiter, aware of the situation, apologized several times for the delay, which was appreciated.
Read moreWent with my family today and was happy to arrive before it got too busy. We ordered gambas pil pil for starters and then my son ordered a pizza 4 queso, my daughter ordered a teriyaki salmon, my wife ordered sea bass and I ordered a grilled whole squid. The ambiance was nice and in no time it was full. The gambas pil pil arrived after 20 minutes and the food after one hour and 15 minutes... The waiter apologized and offered us a drink but we refused it and asked for the food. Eventually it came and the pizza was good, salmon and sea bass were good but my squid had issues. It was not as fresh as I expected and it was not cleaned thoroughly as it should and had some ink and sand on it and it was obvious in the chewing. The price is reasonable and the waiters (2 gentlemen) were very nice, but our dinner was ruined. We paid and left as soon as we finished eating. This is lone place I will not be...
