Restaurante De La Mar — Restaurant in Estepona

This was an unexpected find. We were looking for a place to have dinner in the port. This place is usually closed at 5pm but fortunately they had a special event and were serving food until 9pm. They had a singer as well. What a fun night. The staff were very attentive and fun. I asked the nice lady her name and if she was the owner? Her name is Tracey and is not the owner but took such Pride in the business and doing a fabulous job I thought for sure she had a vested interested in the establishment. The food was very flavourful and unique. We had Falafel with were actually made with sweet potato and cauliflower served over a salad, the veggie samosas with vegetable Baghi , chicken skewer with vegetable baghi and the pork cheek with an egg on top. I have been to this restaurant many times over the last three years and I can say food is very good and has substantially improved since I first came here . I used to hesitate to come here because the smoking area was almost best seats outside the restaurant BUT now it is changed. Today I had rice and curry 🍛 and it was very nice yesterday I had I different dish and that was very very nice too . I will probably come here tomorrow as well !!!🤣. Undoubtedly one of the best Sunday Roasts we have had in Spain. Beautiful melt in your mouth roast beef with all the trimmings. Great staff with a friendly welcome. We will be back for another roast on next visit to the coast that’s for sure 👌. So good we went for Fish and Chips on another occasion and also delicious, lovely fresh cod in batter with great chips and bread and butter on the side as requested.
