Bar: The bar itself is satisfactory, with prices that are consistent with what you’d expect in the area. For example, an espresso costs €2.50, and a Cornetto ice cream is €4. However, there is a peculiar practice when paying by card – the waiter inputs the maximum score for the service rating (smiley faces) without giving the customer the option to choose. This is unusual and slightly concerning. Additionally, one of the female waitstaff consistently appears unfriendly and never smiles, which detracts from the overall experience. Music: Music is either played very rarely or not at all, which leaves the atmosphere somewhat lacking. Regular background music could significantly enhance the ambience. Sunloungers: The sunloungers are available at €10 per day for the basic option and €20 per day for the “VIP” version. Unfortunately, both types of sunloungers are old and dirty, and during my 10-day stay, I never observed them being cleaned. The wooden pathway leading to the sunlounger area is also in poor condition, with several broken sections that pose a safety hazard. Moreover, there have been dog excrements near the sunlounger area for approximately 8 days, which have yet to be cleaned up, further reflecting the lack of proper maintenance.

The only good thing here is the beach itself — it’s good for swimming, no rocks. Also have Alhambra beer on tap, which is nice. But the restaurant? Honestly, it’s a complete tourist trap. Unfortunately most of the chiringuitos in Estepona now are like Baraka — they have nothing to do with the real, traditional Spanish chiringuitos. The food here is poor quality and yet the prices are high. Just look at the sardinas: they are huge, completely wrong, nothing like proper sardinas. We still go there sometimes, simply because there’s no other choice on this beach. But if you’re looking for real quality, it’s absolutely not worth it.

High quality food in front of the beach. It is not cheap but you pay for the quality and the service. I went few times during my stay in Estepona. Barraka Beach is a good place for families, couples or solo travelers. I went with family (Amazing service and all family happy), with my boyfriend (he loves the food here) and myself (waiters made me feel like I am at home). My favourite dessert is: warm strawberries with chocolate and mint ice-cream. Delicious! You should try!

Nice place for a restaurant. Unfortunately the food wasn't good, luke warm and tasteless. No bread offered for the table. Eventually had to ask for some and one roll appeared which we ended up paying for! (Yes I know, you don't get anything for free! But most Spanish restaurants provide SOMETHING to nibble on whilst waiting for the food) Drinks were as you'd expect and the service was extremely slow. We had to get someone's attention to ask for the menu then again to order the food and drink and then again to get the bill. No one came to see us to ask if we were enjoying the food. We finished up quickly and left straight away. Not a place I would recommend to anyone. Hopefully next year things will have improved and we may try again. Note! This is my opinion and it may have been a "one off" night that the staff weren't on the ball. I'm sure there have been and will be many other reviews that offer 5 stars. I hope so anyway. No one likes to see...

We arrived at the restaurant that can only be described as looking like a poor man’s aquarium due to the unsightly blue fake reflective decorative glass framed in wonky plywood, surrounding the upper level of the building. We had a pre dinner drink in a scruffy seating area on the beach with litter surrounding us and blowing around from the sea breeze. The ambiance was below average and it would have benefited from some background music to give it a lift. We then moved onto dinner… we sat on plastic tables with no table clothes or napkins. Half of the party had satisfactory food and the other half were served inedible steaks. A member of the party brought this up with the owner and the unbelievable response was ‘if you don’t like it go somewhere else’ he then screamed abuse at his staff who were very nice throughout and looked like they were under severe stress working for a dictator! Overall a terrible experience and...
