Avoid This Place. Rude Owner, Overpriced Food, and hair in the food. We just visited this "greek" restaurant with our son. At first, everything seemed fine. The views were lovely, and we sat by the marina. However, as it got cold, we asked to move inside, and the staff were accommodating enough to help us. Up to this point, all was well. The real problems began when it took over half an hour for anyone to take our order. Apparently, only the French lady who seems to be the owner could take food orders, and she was clearly not in any rush. Despite asking twice because our son was hungry, other tables were served first, which was frustrating but still tolerable. Note that the restaurant was far from being full... When the owner finally came to take our order, instead of apologizing, she rudely blamed us for not having menus on our table! She loudly scolded her staff about “system issues” when tables move, which was awkward but we still tried to stay calm. Eventually, we ordered, and the food arrived quickly. Now, here is where things got really bad. While the dolmas were tasty, we found a dog hair in the spanakopita (you can see it in the video attached to this review). We didn’t make a big scene and politely asked for the dish to be removed, thinking it was a one-time mistake. However, instead of apologizing, the owner stormed over and claimed it was not a hair but a spinach stem, because they "use fresh spinach.” I may not be a chef, but I can tell you that it was absolutely a dog hair. We were still charged for everything, even the dish we didn’t eat. Portions were small, the taste was average, and the experience was far from worth the money. But honestly, the worst part was the owner. She was rude not only to us but to her staff, creating an unpleasant atmosphere of arrogance and poor management. We will never return, and we definitely do not recommend this place to anyone!

El Greek del Puerto is under new management, and it shows! Things have improved a lot here since the previous 2 times I ate here and was fairly disappointed with the tardy service some 2 years ago! Instead, my friend and I were given a genuinely warm welcome a few days ago when we stopped in for lunch and had a really nice lunch experience! The ambiance was relaxing on the terrace. We ordered 2 starters each. I had a roasted ( rosemary topped) cheese dish and a plate of meatballs that came with a cucumber-yoghurt sauce. She had stuffed vine leaves and oven roasted Mediterranean veg. Everything was served relatively quickly and by a handsome waiter, too! 🙃 The order was served totally correct and all dishes were served nice and toasty hot. I can’t stand hot food served luke-warm! We didn’t have dessert but I did have a cup of black tea and it arrived looking SUPER cute in this lovely tea pot! Whilst I thought the starters at €10 (vine leaves) and €14 for the other three starter items were a little pricey, they were good-sized portions. I noticed that the restaurant makes a charge if any plates are shared. We did not, but worth bearing in mind. With no alcohol and no desserts, no coffee (1 tea) and no main courses, the bill was €59.80. A nice surprise was that a large water was just €2.50 each and the lovely tea was a mere €2.80-a bargain! For a Thursday lunchtime it was pleasantly busy there in the restaurant on the covered terrace by the yachts and powerboats. Estepona port is so pretty! Someone I knew on a nearby table was having dessert so I grabbed a quick pic of the attractive display! A recommended, pleasant spot to while away a couple of hours.

The head waiter or manager (not sure the role) was fantastic, HOWEVER….. The service was extremely slow and the food was so bad and disappointing. On the web page the gyros is advertised how it should be, the meat in the bread. Like a sandwich kebab, which I clarified before ordering, but I received a small portion of meet on its own. No bread. No sandwich. Basically I ordered a Gyros but didn’t receive a gyros. The saganaki is not a real saganaki. The prawns were definitely frozen and not fresh, they were not cooked properly, moreover they hadn’t even been cleaned. Once we raised our concerns, the waiter returned saying that 3 people from the staff tasted those prawns and they were absolutely fine, he was sorry the dish didn’t suit our taste, but the dish was absolutely fine. First all, I don’t think it’s hygienic for 3 people to eat from a dish where the customer ate, second, I don’t think the waiter should have returned to the table with a slightly arrogant attitude to tell us the dish was perfect. There were 9 of us of which 7 work in hospitality, we definitely recognise a fresh and cooked dish. Later the head waiter/ manager came to ask for our feedback with a better attitude than his colleague. Of course they removed the dish from the bill, but It’s a shame for the whole negative experience, especially considering the dishes are not cheap.

Avoid this place at all costs! Easily the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in Estepona. We left after 30 minutes without even getting our food, all thanks to the incredibly rude blonde older lady who apparently runs the place. Here's what happened: • First, a friendly waiter asked us to wait while they prepared a table. After 10 minutes, he told us to sit down, but as I was heading to the table, the blonde lady stopped me and coldly said, "I am the boss. I do the reservations and tables, not the waiter." How is this my problem? It’s clear she has no idea how to manage her staff or her restaurant. • Second, after we finally sat down, we waited 30 minutes and still didn’t get our drinks. • Third, when I asked for a glass of water for my 2-year-old, she acted like I offended her. We insisted and she insisted back on not providing one. For any foreigner to know, In Spain it’s the law to provide tab water! Not doing it its illegal. Even if Estepona doesn’t have the best tab water, she must provide a free glass. • Fourth, she asked for our order twice but left abruptly both times before we could finish, without even an apology for leaving us hanging. • Fifth, when I told her we were leaving because of her terrible behavior, she just waved us off and said, "Ok, just leave!" No apology, no concern—just complete disregard for her customers. Here’s the bottom line: With so many fantastic restaurants in Estepona, don’t waste your time or money here. It is satisfying to see that we weren’t the only ones as there are many other comments about her. Avoid,...
