Let’s be clear: this is not a review. This is a love letter to my favorite Indian restaurant on Earth - Jaipur Purple.
I don’t know what kind of deal they struck with the culinary gods, but everything here just works. The food? Always perfect. Not in a “haute cuisine with a foam reduction” way - no. In a “this-is-exactly-what-I-want-and-I-want-it-all” way.
Curries that warm your heart and sinuses. Naan that deserves a standing ovation. And every bite makes me suspicious that maybe their chef has a PhD in comfort food engineering.
But wait - the beer! Served in frosty frozen glasses like it’s some kind of sacred ritual. Is it fancy? No. Is it perfect? Absolutely.
And don’t skip dessert. Seriously. The sweets here don’t just finish the meal - they complete the experience. It’s like the staff secretly know what your soul needs.
Speaking of staff: kind, warm, and genuinely happy you’re there. Which, in turn, makes you genuinely happy to be there.
Jaipur Purple isn’t trying to be trendy, or edgy, or reinvent Indian food. It’s just consistently, reliably, wonderfully good. And that’s why it’s my favorite.

Read moreFor an Indian in the Marbella/Estaponia food was exceptional, coming from an indian... in Spain... Was told the food is cooking slightly sweeter for the locals and tourist who visit the area frequently, asked for the food to be cooked of more traditional style for me and the wife, and the chef did not disappoint. Chicken was tender, fresh and full of flavour, and the simple nan bread was cook perfectly to. Don't be put off by location, worth the travel, especially when every tapas place we've visited was the same old bland & boring food.
Well done...
