Read moreHaving never tried Peruvian food before, when we booked our holiday nearby, I knew I wanted to try this place. SO SO glad we visited. Probably the best non-Spanish/traditional meal we've had in two weeks in Estepona.
Location is (like so many in smaller areas) right by the motorway but convenient to get to and they have dressed their outside area well to conceal this as much as possible.
We went early evening midweek and it was quiet but the place is beautifully decorated, good ambience and staff attentive and helpful. Clear explanations of food and options to increase spicy etc.
We opted for a couple of starters (cassava fries and taquenos), Inca Colas (so good like Panda Pop but bright yellow) and then a combo grill and lomo saltado. All of the food was delicious and interesting flavours. Portions were good value for money. Steak on the lomo was cooked to perfection (rare) and plenty of it. Smoked pork belly was delicious - great smoke ring - sign of a good bbq-er!
Our server was so kind and took time to talk with us, I can see why this place is so popular. They do special menus and live music on the weekends and I'm sure the atmostphere then is incredible.
Hope to visit again before we leave Spain but if we ever return to this region, Pachamama will be high...
