We used to absolutely love this real authentic Chiringuito. It was a wooden built structure but was the real deal for spain serving up amazing food right by the waterside. Now after years of transformation we have a fantastic modern Chiringuito which is an outstanding building, very sleek and 21st century. Even some of the original staff are there which is great to see. BUT. Test there is a big BUT. Prawn Pil Pil was amazing (but we had to ask 3 times for bread), Ok I hear you say calm down this is Spain after all. We had to wait and wait and wait. The restaurant was about 1/2 capacity but we waited for well over an hour for our main courses which quite frankly where very average. The menu is really encouraging with great sounding dishes however 2 tasteless salads average chicken and pasta. Waiting staff roaming the whole restaurant and achieving very little. Was it just us???? No we saw countless others with the same problem, and getting the bill! 25 minutes! 😒 We hoped and expected more and we will give it another go next year. We really hope that this is just re adjustment after the COVID reboot but it felt like there was a serious issue in the running of the place.
We hope for...
Read moreThis place has become a real gem for us — we’ve been here several times, and every time we leave feeling relaxed and satisfied. What makes it so special?
First of all, the location. It’s just a short walk from the sea, and you can enjoy stunning views of the blue water whether you’re sitting inside or out on the terrace. At the same time, it’s set far enough back that even on windy days, especially during autumn and winter, it still feels cozy and comfortable.
Secondly, the family-friendly atmosphere. Right next to the restaurant is a lovely garden where children can run around, play, and hide in the bushes. Our child absolutely loves this place. If you’re looking for a restaurant where you can come with kids — this is a perfect choice.
The service is friendly, the food is delicious, and everything is always clean and well-kept — you can really feel the care behind the experience.
Another important bonus — there’s always parking nearby, and we’ve never had trouble finding a spot.
Highly recommended! You can combine it with a walk along the beautiful New Golden Mile promenade and have a wonderful time with friends or the...
Read moreSolo diner, whilst in the area on personal business. Reserved online, easy process. Arrived and shown to an outside table, nice, but the main restaurant is lit up like a hospital emergency ward, so not much to see beyond the immediate vicinity. Staff were friendly enough at first, attentive etc. The food wasn't great though, paté starter was plain, just with bread pieces and a bit of arranged salad and pickles. Barbecued fish was good, though no need for so much salt, and again, the salad was pretty lackluster, sauce was ok. Cheesecake game was weak, seemed like a small slice of something from the supermarket with 2 splodges of spray cream. By this time the new server was less than friendly, and I thought I'd round off the experience by offering a tip, seeing as the bill was just over €60 I offered €70, which was met with similar indifference. No-one bade me goodnight on leaving, and I was going to have a drink in the bar upstairs, but it just seemed like more of the same, so I left. Won't be going again, and not recommended, particularly since there are better options within...
