Not thrilled - to say the least...
My husband had the salmon teriyaki and it was decent, but I ordered the Bellaco steak, but the meat cut was absolutely awful. It was mostly bone and what meat was on there was fatty, stringy and basically not edible.
Our waiter was a really nice and very attentive gentleman from Morocco. I probably would not have even mentioned the issue with my meal, but he asked me why I didn't eat the steak when he came to pick up our plates. I had to tell him it was just basically inedible. The only saving grace of the dish was the mushroom gravy, which was nominal.
I watched him as he tried to talk to the owner about the fact that my steak meal was not edible, and he was obviously distressed when he came back to tell me that he couldn't take my meal off the bill. I did not ask to have it taken off the bill, but he clearly felt like it should have been, but the owners said no.
The owner's sorry excuse was that this is how churrasco steak is and basically It wasn't their problem; I should have expected this. I've had some very good South American grilled steak and I beg to differ.
Disappointing meal, especially for the price, and a truly apathetic response from the owners.
I'd say don't waste your time, eat somewhere else and I hope that the waiter gets a very well deserved position at a better...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience after dining at this restaurant. I ordered the paella, which, while not completely inedible, was far from enjoyable — overcooked rice, rubbery seafood, and an unpleasant aftertaste that should have raised concerns. Unfortunately, it did more than just disappoint my palate. Within hours, I developed severe food poisoning that required medical attention. This was not just a bad meal, it became a health issue. What made matters worse was the restaurant’s response. I very politely and reasonably requested a price adjustment for the paella, given the quality and the outcome. Rather than showing any concern or accountability, the staff became aggressive, defensive and hostile, and threatened to call the police simply for asking. I was shocked by the aggression and complete lack of professionalism. I would strongly caution others before dining here. Food safety and respectful customer service are the bare minimum anyone should expect and unfortunately, this restaurant failed on...
Read moreWe ate here early on a Wednesday evening having the spring rolls for starters, then the chicken skewer & spaghetti bolognese for mains, which were served quickly, generous in portion & all very tasty.
Later, on Friday, we were there again at 8pm, each ordering spring rolls & croquettes for starters with chicken paella for both our mains. The paella took a little while as expected but was well worth the wait as it was so delicious, as again was our starters.
I have to apologise to the staff as we thought the restaurant closed at 10pm. It was actually meant to close at 8pm & we left at 9 discovering our mistake on leaving. So a big thank you to all for serving us great meal...
