Heladería Valentino — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Friendly staff. Prices I bit high for ice cream. From last year, prices have gone up almost 1€ on the mid size, about 20-25%. This is not a place for a family with kids and on a budget. The price hike has become normal for this ice cream place and others at the Paseo Marítimo. Geared toward tourist. This is not limited to Valentino. There are other ice cream parlors that are more reasonable away from the sea shore. I used to go there more often, but now maybe once or every other week or less. I can afford it, but I'm not willing to pay that extra when i can get it for 30-35% less a couple of blocks away. Why a 4-stars rating then? Ice cream is as good as the other parlors, but...

Told me no ice cream had egg then told me the allergy menu was incorrect - vanilla ice cream was marked as having egg in the allergy menu and she said it was actually the Kinder above that “would” have egg - then argued with me about it all and insisted all chocolate ice cream would be the ones to have egg (there is no egg in a Kinder itself). Showed me one box and insisted it was the same box for all cones even though one looked likely to be different. Shrugged throughout and filled me with no confidence about her allergy knowledge. This ice-cream is just DREAMY! Came here twice but could’ve definitely gone everyday of our holiday! First time we went for pistachio and banana split, second time we went for Lemon and caramel dulce deleche! The consistency is thick and creamy and the flavours are spot on! They also had other bits like brownies etc but we just went for the ice-cream. It was nice that in a small tub they fill it to the top too! You get your moneys worth!
