Funny/terrible story Me and my partner decided to have a drink to this chiringuito as there is a balcony facing the beach, unfortunately it was not available for us and the reason was because there were only table for 4 people and who wanted to have food, bare in mind it was almost 11 and more than 6 tables free... the best is yet to come... We sit down at the bar and my partner order some English breakfast tea which it comes with some off milk, easy to spot if you pour it and curdles. Now it doesnt matter if you are right or wrong normally you dont argue with a client. We made the waitress notice that and in response to it she took a tiny spoon and sip some of that lol which in her opinion it was fine lol After that we decided ordering a sealed drink was the safest option and we started observing how the staff operate in this restaurant. Cloths left on fridge surfaces used to dry the scale when wet octopus are weighted, the same cloths get used to dry hands, surfaces and other objects. fishes taken with bare hands and right after typing on card machines. Ive had the feeling of being spoken behind our backs just for pointing out that the milk wasnt good and we didnt feel comfortable, so we decided to leave soon after the episode. Thanks for reading the review i hope you wont do...
Read moreWe dined here the day before we left. Very very poor service. My partner ordered the clams and I ordered the calamari baby squid. I got my order but my partners dish never arrived. The gentleman that served us avoided us at all costs while we were wondering where my partners dish she had ordered was. We finally got his attention and asked where was her dish. His response was that he ordered it with the kitchen but was told there were no clams available, I find it unbelievable that he couldn't just say that to us and left us waiting while he knew my partners dish was not available. Common sense tells you to tell the customer straight away! By this point I had finished my plate while my partner had to settle for a bread roll with a bit of butter for her lunch. Shockingly bad service. The same waiter then had another waitress bring down our change, wish she just threw in front of me and ran off, after we complained to him. The least he could've done in that situation was take our drinks off the bill. I cannot believe we were treated so rudely. We were still hungry when we left so decided to go up the Promenade a bit to a place called Ronchos which was a far better experience both with the staff and food! Come back to Fungieorola regularly but won't ever be back to...
Read moreWe have been going to Los Naufragos for over 40 years and always enjoyed it. However we had a very different experience today. The service was very poor. The waiting staff were disinterested and bored. The quality of the food has dropped significantly. The gluten free bread was inedible and the fish was overcooked. Worst of all since we travel with our 6 year old, we always bring our Uno card game to keep her entertained. The waiting staff told us we were not permitted to play this. Seriously? It’s not like we’re were engaged in a high stakes poker game. It’s a children’s card game. What kind of restaurant is this? It wasn’t like we were taking up a table that was needed. The restaurant wasn’t full and we hadn’t finished our food and drinks. I am so angry about how we were treated that despite 40 years of loyal business we will never return to this restaurant and will no longer recommend...
