Portside Fish And Chips — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Not being one who relishes good old British grub whilst abroad but stumbled on this wee gem almost by accident whilst a day exploring Fuengirola somewhere near the harbour. There were several people eating outside and my hubby was ‘seduced’ by the delicious aroma of fish and chips. I said bye bye to my idea of tapas and we sat outside and ordered.

They don’t just serve fish but pies (I think) and scampi etc. The fish was fabulous with light crispy batter and my choice of scampi - excellent (and yes scampi does vary). The chips too were perfectly cooked.

While we were there several people arrived in cars for take away meals and customers weren’t just English. A large family of Spaniards were enjoying themselves.

Really enjoyed our meal there and would have returned if we had been staying...

I've not even been to this place yet and I'm looking forward to it..the reviews are so good and the photos look incredible..I've tried tk find fish and chips abroad that look like it does back home and it's never quote the same..I will be visiting today to ensure my 5star review was warranted!

Also the person who wrote the only bad review i could find..sounds like a plug for the competition.. ignore the haters..means you're doing something right!

All the reviews are accurate!The food is as good a fish and chips ive eaten anywhere in the UK..the lady who works at the place is the sweetest! I dont usually write reviews but this place is deserving of...

We, three Amigos, had a really enjoyable visit to Portside Fish and Chips earlier today. Gary, Lyndsey and staff are so welcoming, helpful and attentive. Food was all freshly cooked. We ate beautiful cod in a light crispy golden batter. Our chips were perfectly cooked and the mushy peas tasted great along with the curry sauces. Prices very reasonable for the food and the experience. We'd highly recommend Portside as a restaurant to visit. It's in a great location, just a short walk from a beautiful harbour. Two very convenient carparks nearby.
