Step away from the main drag and the tourist traps and head to this back street long established family run restaurant because it is just WOW! I cannot express how utterly fantastic this place is! The extremely popular menu del dia is just 15 euros and the choice available is incredible and the portion sizes are huge! We were 3 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was heaving! You must book a table to avoid disappointment as its very popular. We ordered from the menu and had a goats cheese salad between us as it was massive! The Arroz caldoso is a must have as it was absolutely divine and highly recommended, gambas a la plancha which were delicious and calamari nacional frito! For dessert we had the white chocolate tart and the tarta de queso which is home made and oven baked! The absolute best I've ever eaten in my life! The decor is so chic, gorgeous greens with soft lighting and a real luxurious feel to the restaurant but the atmosphere and the fare is 100% pure andalucian! Very relaxed and comfortable warm and welcoming environment. The waiters are so lovely and friendly. The locals know how to eat and know what they want and this place ticks every single box! Exceptional family owned restaurant! Spotless clean and a favorite of locals and world travelers! George, his wife, brother are always on premise to ensure they maintain the highest quality and customer service! Fresh daily produce and daily fresh baked breads arrive at pre dawn! Great fresh pressed coffee to order every morning delivered with a friendly smile! Local workers enjoy their customary shot of brandy or anise to sip along side their coffee to start the day! Open all day. This long established family restaurant is one of my favourites. You can't go wrong here, honest Malagueña cuisine and very friendly and efficient service. Try the Berenjenas fritas con miel de caña. Their pil pil, or Iberian platter. Gambas a la plancha is a must. The steamed mussels, and gazpacho are all first class. For mains avoid the marinated chicken, but they have great fresh fish dishes, and often a special from the market. Meat, try the Secreto. Tender and super tasty .
