Fairly excellent entrance and a graceful greeting lead us to a comfortable table that was supreme, delightful and brilliant if somewhat cramped. Try the gherkins in a beetroot and pilchard paste they are superb excellent and great. The menu was interesting, extensive, well set out and out of this world. Bread rolls are decent as is the fine wine. We enjoyed 4 or 5 cocktails before our shared small starters for 4 of us that included various pastes. We had ham paste, cheese paste, fish paste , beetroot paste and anchovies paste washed down with fantastic and fabulous jugs of local sangria.We also indulged in a mix platter of hot and cold cheeses,slabs of pork in a cold onion sauce, massive amounts of local cheese salads, fried feta cheese, piping hot cheese fritters, mixed fish frittata and peas. We found the waiters extremely sociable, knowledgeable, amicable ,and happy to suggest certain specials of the night which included chilled Gazpacho, cucumber pies, garliced calamari and as a dessert the creamy buns are to die for. The ambience was astonishing, incredulous, electric and good. Hot coffee was fairly great too as was the veggies. We absolutely loved the creamy chicken and fish hot pots served on a bed of fresh spinach leaves and raw onions. The shrimps were fresh and marvelous. We enjoyed the views ,they were astounding and outstanding and prominent. Try the side salad dishes and small slabs of cod. We especially loved the beef , lamb, turkey and vegan options that were made available to everyone in the restaurant without any type of discrimination. Hot rolls were nice. We will definitely return with our local sports club colleagues and friends. Oh l forgot try the meat. Also don't forget to bring loose change for the excellent, professional, hilarious, positive, realistic, brave, generous and genuine entertainers who had all the diners creased up with...

My recent visit to Restaurante Mesón El Torillo in Fuengirola left me with mixed feelings. The service was undoubtedly a highlight, with the staff being exceptionally kind, always sporting a smile, and offering great local recommendations.

The menu boasted a variety of options, and the food, on the whole, was good. However, a word of caution: the portions were colossal! Thankfully, the restaurant accommodated take-away orders, saving us from potential food waste.

I opted for the lasagne with ox tail, and while it was flavorful, it felt a bit heavy and excessively cheesy. The thickness of the dish was a bit overwhelming. On the other hand, the paella with Iberian ham was a winner, striking the perfect balance of flavors. The exotic salad, unfortunately, was a letdown due to an excess of dressing, leaving it drowning in vinegar.

The atmosphere was okay, but our early dining time meant the restaurant was quite empty. This may have affected the overall ambiance. It's worth noting that personal preferences play a role, and while some dishes didn't quite suit my taste, others might find them delightful.

In conclusion, Restaurante Mesón El Torillo offers friendly service and a diverse menu, but the heaviness of some dishes and inconsistencies in flavor balance could be improved. If you're a fan of hearty portions and don't mind tweaking your order, it's worth a try.

Encontré este Mesón como sitios recomendados para comer en Fuengirola y cuando fuí de vacaciones fue toda una experiencia gastronómica tanto comida y servicio de 10, tienen de todo (carnes, carnes a las brasa, platos frios, calientes, pescados, platos de cuchara, arroces, paellas, menu para niños que tienen macarrones boloñesa...) solo falta que tenga mas variedad de pastas para adultos y pizzas y entonces ya como opinión personal seria uno de los mejores de Fuengirola y de España. En mis 38 años de vida debo decir que es uno de los mejores sitios en donde he comido, creanme lo pueden comprobar comiendo o cenando alli y se darán cuenta de que tengo razón, es visita obligada. No puedo poner mas de 5 estrellas porque si pudiera poner mas lo ponia. La comida excelente, estaba todo riquisimo, se nota la calidad de los productos, hay alguien que dice aqui en otra reseña que he leido que la presentación de los platos era descuidada y poco apetecible y que los ingredientes eran de baja calidad y he de decir que todo eso es falso, no se quien habrá escrito semejante falsedad, pero os aseguro que yo estuve el año pasado 11 dias en Fuengirola y el mejor sitio (calidad de los productos, precio, trato al cliente por parte de los camareros y el sabor de las comidas, la presentación) como el Torillo ninguno, es que está lleno todos los dias a la hora de la comida y la cena.

Me pedí una Sopa Castella a muy buen precio y era un pedazo de cuenco y estaba la sopa riquisima. Mi padre se pidió un plato de cuchara (callos con garbanzo) lo probé y estaban increibles, madre mia dejó al final el caldo que yo me lo terminé y buaa ese sabor era impresionante bocado de dioses, el sabor era de los que hacia tu abuela que te quedabas alucinado. Mi madre se pidió un solomillo a la plancha que estaba increible, cortabas un trozo y eso parecia mantequilla, se deshacia y el sabor era como si hubiera salido de una barbacoa de carbón, las carrilladas ibéricas estaban buenisimas, se deshacian en la boca, era para entrar en la cocina y llevarte el perolo entero. Otro dia que fuimos nos pedimos un revuelto de ajetes naturales, jamón y gambas y era un pedazo de plato cargado hasta los dientes, el sabor de las croquetas de rabo de toro era como comer felicidad absoluta porque eran una locura!! El secreto ibérico y el churrasco de pollo era como si tu cuñado los hubiera sacado de la barbacoa hace un momento, el sabor que tenia a brasa era de escándalo. Ni Diverxo de David Muñoz ni pijerias que te sacan el dinero, este Mesón es de estrella michelin, porque por el precio que tiene tambien según lo que pidas comes como un marqués y quien vaya repite, quien vaya a comer después de leer esto no se arrepentirá jamás, tienen tantas cosas que no sabes que pedir, mi madre se quedó con ganas de pedir un calamar entero a la plancha que tenia una pinta increible. Es que tengo ganas de volver a Fuengirola no para ir a la a playa sino para poder comer alli. NO SE ARREPENTIRÁN!!!

Todo el mundo que vaya alli tiene que ir al Torillo si o si. Quien vaya se acoradará de todo esto y no querrá comer...
