Munchies Smokehouse and Bar — Restaurant in Fuengirola

My partner and I ate here twice during our 7 night stay in Fuengirola, it was so good we HAD to go back before we left. The service was excellent and the food was even better. The venue itself is small and has a nice homely feel, which provides an amazing atmosphere.

Now about the food, wow... Just wow. That's it, nothing else needs to be said really.

On the first visit my partner and I shared the BBQ Ribs, Nachos with Chilli Con Carne, Fries, Coleslaw, Buffalo wings and an assortment of dips, each of which were delicious (Especially the 'House Dip').

On the second visit we got the 'Meatlover burger', Fries, Coleslaw, BBQ Ribs and The House Dip. The ribs were so good that we had to get them the second time. The Burger was incredible, seasoned well and packed with fillings. The ribs are great and have an excellent smoke flavour coated with an insanely good Sweet and smoky BBQ Sauce. I'd Highly recommend the Fries too, salty and crispy skin on fries, the most perfect bite. You have to try the house dip with the fries, it is a MUST!

People have previously left negative comments regarding the pricing of the menu, and they are insane. People are just so used to paying near to nothing for cr@p quality food when they are on holiday. This place offers great quality food and service at a very reasonable price. The first night we had drinks and BBQ Ribs, Nachos with Chilli Con Carne, Fries, Coleslaw, Buffalo wings, an assortment of dips, 2x Coca Cola 1x Rum. And it somehow only came to £41 (€50), an incredible value for what we received, food and service wise.

This is a family that seriously knows how to do American food right, trust me! If you visit Fuengirola and do not eat here, you are missing...

Returned to Munchies after a 7 year hiatus. We really enjoyed our last visit here and did have some trepidation in returning, wondering if it would be as good as last time. All I can say is that I was blown away by how good it was. Proper beers from local breweries. The food was amazing with quality ingredients having been used that really brought out all the flavours. Both taste and presentation truly exceeded expectations. The menu had been well thought out and it was possible to combine different elements into mouthwatering meals.

Whilst the offerings are predominantly meat based, there were also options for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free meals, etc, and it was even possible to pick and choose different options from the menu to personal preference. For example, my vegan girlfriend opted for the vegan patty, but combined with the vegan friendly ingredients from the Mexicano burger. The food is all homemade to order, which makes it really easy to pick and choose. Should you have people in your party with any allergies, they have full awareness of every ingredient in their food, even down to the items that “may contain” and can guide you as to what options are available and cater to any individual needs.

The only negative is the fact I know that I won’t get food this good in other restaurants.

The lovely Swedish owners were very knowledgable about their produce, how it was sourced and spoke passionately about their endeavours to create an exceptional menu and dining experience. The owners were so welcoming and passionate about what they do, and took the time to tell us all about their menu, ethos and joy they get from providing quality of service.

Second time round and a little disappointed on this occasion...firstly one of their signature dishes the ribs they had run out by 1930hrs with still 3 or so hours to go....poor planning there thus has to choose something else..went with a over priced burger which was suppose to include bacon and pulled pork...there was some in there but very little, especially as i was paying 10 euros just for the burger. The fries were great, really crunchy. The rickety small round table did not make it easy to eat but we made the best of it. Toilets left a lot to desired, not as clean as previous years and no soap to wash hands... overall things for us this year were just not up to par...there are many burger bars popping up all over the area and unfortunately this one at the moment does not justify paying the extra... also did not see he really friendly waitress from last year that knew all about low carb eating...such a nice lady..thus can only give three stars max this year ..sorry but you seem to do really well and hopefully it was just a...
