Pizzería Rugantino — Restaurant in Garachico

After all day on beach me and my wife we're really hungry, so we decided to keep enjoying the view and eat in this lovely little town. First we found a nice place with a view, but the menu was all fish and we couldnt find anything suitable. Then we we're looking for something else and after walking through all the town we almost became miserable because most places were either closed or didn't really serve dinner. We almost went to car to leave and go to place we already knew, when slwe stumbled upon this, at first look, not so "fancy" place, but at least there were people sitting, so we figured out it should be good. And it was the best pizza we ate on this island and definately top 3 in our lifetime (we have traveled to Italy a few times). Full of chatting and happy locals and tourists, new visitors shaking hands with staff - how else can you describe this place has a heart and soul? And amazing tiramisu! 10/5 and it wasnt hunger! We waited for a table for 25min. While we were waiting, a gentleman with an attendant came in, talked to the staff and stood behind us. When a table became vacant and we thought it was our turn the gentleman behind us came in and sat down. I asked what was going on and learned that when you come in you have to sign in on the list. Apparently how was I supposed to know that, other than a big sign saying "cash only" there was nothing else. The staff saw that we were waiting. Maybe the food is good but we didn't find out. We were only offered that we could continue to wait. They made no exception for us, foreigners are not welcome here. The very rude treatment only makes me give a...

Sin duda, esta es mi reseña más dura, de todas las que he hecho, con diferencia.

Empiezo por el principio, me apunto para esperar mesa, me indican 15-20 minutos. Pasa media hora y veo como pasan a dos mesas que se han apuntado después de mi, lo cual corroboro cuando solicito información sobre esto y veo tachados dos nombres puestos posteriores al mío, que cuando me apuntaron, no estaban. Fatal.

El trato del resto del servicio, realmente muy bueno, reseñable positivamente.

Las berenjenas con pimientos algo menos sabrosas que la última vez que las pedí, sobre todo las berenjenas que antes tenían un mejor aliño. Aún así ricas.

El antipasto correcto, nada reseñable.

La ensalada caprese muy rica, realmente muy sabrosa, con un aliño espectacular muy muy bien contrastado. Algo muy básico convertido en manjar.

La pizza no la he podido probar, dado que soy celiaco, pero según me indica mi mujer, realmente rica.

Al final pedimos unos chupitos de limóncello, que no nos cobraron, realmente rico también. Potencia de sabor, con potencia de alcohol. Muy rico.

Al final, en el pago, precio correcto por una buena comida en general. El pago se gestiona en efectivo, lo cual no es ningún problema, hasta que solicito ticket de compra, y me entregan lo que he adjuntado como foto. Sin CIF, sin detalle de comanda, sin impuestos.

Sinceramente creo que toda persona que tiene un negocio, y más cuando tiene muchos años de gestión, debe saber que las normas impositivas están para cumplirse. Creo que es mejor una reseña de advertencia, que una queja formal, que acarrea sanción administrativa importante. El efectivo está muy bien, pero cada comanda debe tener un ticket factura con detalle del servicio, seamos honestos.
