It's a nice concept, to have a prix fixe restaurant that only serves ribeye steaks with fries, salad and dessert, with wine by the centimeter from a big carafe. This was our second visit, we ate here last year. This time it seemed to have gone down in quality a bit. Our steaks were supposed to be al punto, medium rare, but they came out rare, one much more so than the other. We had to have it cooked a little more, it was no longer blue and bloody, but still not al punto. Very rare inside. The steaks were also very fatty and gristly. It was difficult to find a single bite that didn't have some gristle or fat in it. I wish they offered a fillet or tenderloin option for the steaks. The paté starter was excellent, but the bread was stale. The salad was wilted. Fries were delicious. Desserts were okay. They had a window that was supposed to be for meat display, but...

Simplicity at its best. Rib(eye) steak, chips and salad! No other option, but you don’t need it. The lady who served us explained the concept and offered us hot plates to cook our steaks more if desired and extra bread available on request. The cheese was amazingly delicious too. We will likely return next time we are in Girona. We felt it was good value for money considering the size of steak. My only suggestion is to add a craft ale option alongside the lager as that would compliment the steak experience (I don’t drink red wine).
