Mar de Brassas — Restaurant in Granada

This place is off the beaten path, away from touristy areas which was what we were looking for, a linner, sort of, at 430p! We were served by 2 nice young ladies. I was hesitant at first at the prices but fully understood when the foods came out in portions double the siZes of what we've been served in Andalusia 😀. We have been eating well in Toledo, Cordoba, and Seville but this local joint surprised us with their quality and quantity of their grilled cuttlefish, octopus, iberico abanico & secreto 😋. The seafood was done just right, the pork dishes were juicy and sweet, and all came with enough vegetables to fill a full size salad plate! I believed their charcoal grill gave the dishes their smokey flavors. Oh yeah, we cleaned up the bread basket along with half a bottle of their olive oil 😁. If we weren't still full 4 hours after we would come back for a second round! There was 1 regret I had, we didn't have enough room for the iberico pluma 😂. We were here 2 weeks ago. We had 1.5 hours to catch the train to Sevilla and the restaurant is just 3 minutes walking distance away.

It was a warm welcome and really friendly staff. It was around 630pm, still relatively early, the restaurant was empty except for 1 table occupied.

As we had limited time, we ordered quickly. We ordered Iberian Pluma, Iberian Pork Fillet, Spanish Garlic Prawns, Spanish Potatoes, Salad. Everything was ready in 15 minutes. The food tasted good, but not of 5 stars standard.

Pésima experiencia. Jamás me había sucedido algo igual en ningún restaurante de Granada, ni de ninguna otra ciudad, suelo empatizar bastante con el mundo de la hostelería, pero lo del servicio en este lugar deja mucho que desear. Aunque no recibimos ningún trato desagradable por parte de la camarera que nos atendió, si bien desde el minuto que nos sentamos, no más tarde de las 15 horas, se nos tomó nota de las bebidas y no se nos informó de la falta de muchos de los platos, siendo escuchados estos a la camarera mientras atendía a la mesa de al lado, confirmándonoslo la misma posteriormente. Decidimos pedir una ensalada y las hamburguesas que tenían anotadas en la pizarra, la camarera las anotó y después de un tiempo bastante prolongado se nos informa que no hay tampoco. Preguntamos por los bocadillos que tenían, nos dice que tiene que preguntarlo y en ningún momento más nos informa. Habiendo transcurrido aproximadamente una hora desde el momento en que nos sentamos, le pedimos por favor que nos saque la ensalada y nos traiga la cuenta. Fuimos bastante considerados pues entendíamos que ya había comandado la ensalada, ensalada que por cierto para el precio que tenía dejaba bastante que desear, pollo crudo y apenas salsa cesar. Una vez pagamos, damos las gracias a la camarera y en ningún momento nos dirigimos a ella con ninguna falta de respeto, si bien si oímos de fondo como alguien decía en tono jocoso e irrespetuoso que nos diera la cuenta y nos fuéramos.
