El Padrino — Restaurant in Guardamar del Segura

Lovely location in the recently pedestrianised street at the top end of parque Reina Sofia where you can sit outside, enjoying the fresh breezes and open air eating.

Most delicious calamar bocadillos for the evening, cooked to perfection with gorgeous, crispy bread. An absolute delight! We've loved our evening out.

Service was 5 stars and they topped it by giving our pooch princess a bowl of water too 😁

Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning again soon.

This place was recomnded for being good for glutenfree. But it was disappointing. They were low on gf items and the staff had little knowledge. It might be because we were there in the middle of siesta and the chef was not there. He said the beef and meat scallops that were marked gf on menu, contained gluten. I tried to ask if it contained dairy, but he did not understand. In the end he said it was the saus that contained gluten. But it says on the menu that the only allergen is dairy. So...

Overcooked fish, unevenly cooked beef, tasteless sauces, soggy fries. The sadest side-salad I’ve seen in a place with chairs. When we complained, we were told we should have let them know before so that they could cook the meat some more. Which would have solved nothing.

The meat might be medium here and there, but most of it was either well done or several degrees away from rare.

Presentation, serving and general service was pretty poor too.
