The restaurant is situated in a quite nice area near the park in Guardamar del Segura. There were not many people sitting outside the restaurant when we arrived, which could be alarming. We were looking quite long at the menu, and standing by a table that was not reserved, before we got anyones attention. Finally a very young waiter, who obviously had not learned to smile to customers, showed us to another table with much worse and uncomfortable chairs in pure metal. Waiter was not very fluid in English, but ok, we decided to give the restaurant a try.
The menu is only in spanish, but we had Google translator, so not really a problem. Looking at the menu, this is clearly not a true / genuine italian restaurant. They have several dishes that I don't relate to Italy, but again, we decided to give the food a try.
Generally there where a lot ot waiters, most of them quite young. They seemed to not communicate very well internally, and we were in contact with several different waiters during the meal. A smile always helps, but they were not very "smiley" and mostly only talked spanish.
We ordered Spaghetti Bolognese, an "italian" burger and a schnitzel. The spaghetti was quite good, but the portion was not very large. The burger was served with a large bread that was chewy, and french fries that were below average. Meat would have been more tasty if it had been grilled. The fries were not even salted, and we had to ask twice for salt. The schnitzel was a bit dry and served without any sauce or vegetables. The best part was actually the cut potatoes that were served with the schnitzel. The schnitzel was served apx 10 minutes after the other dishes, not good.
After a while, the waiter asked if we wanted to pay (pagar ... dinero), instead of asking if we wanted a dessert (postre). Strange, I understand that much spanish. We payed and left without tip.
Looking at what other guests ordered, this could be an ok place to share a large pizza, but it definately does not deserve the current...
