SATE HOUSE, Ibiza — Restaurant in Ibiza

I’m not sure why this place has such good reviews. I wouldn’t consider this a Mediterranean restaurant and the menu is very limited. The tartare was good but only came with a piece of bread cut into 3 small pieces (weird for sharing) and the salmon was sold out of the fennel salad it normally came with and the replacement broccoli side I was given only came with 5 small pieces of broccoli. My friend got the spinach to replace the fennel salad and said it was very salty. Not sure what happened to the sweet potatoes. Maybe that was part of the fennel salad , who knows . Either way it tasted fine but nothing special by any means. Was disappointing choice for our last meal here and if we could take it back we would have went...

Terrible experience at Sate House. I visited Ibiza during the last week of June and the first week of July, and this was by far the worst dining experience I had on the island. The food quality was extremely disappointing — I ordered a Spanish omelette, and it was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Completely tasteless and poorly made.

To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. On top of that, our order was misunderstood — we had asked for burgers, which took forever to come, and when they finally did, they were cold and bland.

Definitely not worth the time or money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone...

Unfortunately didn’t quite live up to the ratings (in our case) - this place has a great vibe and good music, so would recommend if you were going for “standard” drinks before going out somewhere.

For us - the frozen cocktails were insipid and didn’t taste of much fruit. Half of our food order were missing (yet still tried to charge us for the full amount when we asked for the bill). The vegetable board was a bowl of veg that again, was missing half of what was described but was still €15!
