TikisMikis food&Drinks — Restaurant in Icod de los Vinos

This place had really good reviews, so we decided to give it a try.

The atmosphere was okay, the music was piano versions of recent pop hits. To each his own, I thought it was a tad tacky.

The drinks came quickly, no issues here.

My main dish was a pork version of the beef plate with potato puree. The puree was alright, the pork was well seasoned. They put 3 tiny carrot sticks on the plate with some mojo to accompany it.

If you expect to order a main and leave with a full belly, you are mistaken. The dishes are stylized to be "haute cuisine", so you're being served childsized portions. The latter is not a problem per se, but just be aware. All in all, the place wants to be something it is not. It wants to be very fancy, but the food and the atmosphere don't account for that imho.

The salmon was what broke the camel's back for us (and the reason for the 2 star rating).

I asked for the salmon to be accompanied by potatoes instead of rice. Big mistake I guess. The 2 tiny bits of salmon were accompanied by 5 slightly salted potatoes with a tiny drop of sauce. That's it. Not even one leaf or legume to accompany it. Honestly, IKEA serves better salmon than this.

If you want to be "haute cuisine" with childsized portions, make the dishes special! We had to leave with a feeling of regret and treated us to some Venezuelan arepas...

An absolute gem!

Restaurante Tikismikis completely exceeded my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was cozy, stylish, and welcoming. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

What a wonderful place! We called the restaurant some minutes in advance to see if they had a table for three adults and one baby, and to our luck the owner let us know that they had a nice table for us :-). When we arrived, they had our table ready including a drawing and crayons for our baby to have fun ❤️. They were super friendly during our visit. We had burgers and the chicken fingers and they were REALLY good!
