From the very first bite to the last, our dinner at Unoom was nothing short of exceptional. We were welcomed with warm salted almonds and freshly baked rolls, setting the perfect tone for our lunch. Every dish that followed was a masterpiece – the grilled octopus and calamari were cooked to absolute perfection, bursting with flavor and beautifully tender. The highlight, however, had to be the paellas – truly some of the best we’ve ever had. Every element on the plate was expertly seasoned, with a perfect balance of flavors in both the savory and sweet dishes. It’s rare to find a restaurant where every single course feels like a standout, but Unoom managed just that. What made the lunch even more special was the outstanding service. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely warm, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. We were lucky to be seated in a cozy private dining area by the window, offering breathtaking views of the town of Polop – a truly magical setting. The restaurant itself is modern, beautifully designed, and radiates a refined yet relaxed atmosphere. We honestly have nothing but praise for this place. The hoste (I have been told he used to be the owner himself) was really nice. The view was pretty much perfect (please turn the lights a but lower so the contrast reflects less interior and shows more of old Polop) Now the points that shocked me a bit, the food was very salty, the steak was almost all fat, although it was ordered with patatoes (on which the hoste said it was indeed better than fries), it still came with fries. The music was sleepy lounge but after a while there were incomming phone calls interrupting the music up to the point the music was turned off. At the restroom there was no soap although there were only 4 tables occupied. A small point but still worth mentioning.

I see the potential and what people could have experienced but unfortunately we didn’t experience it this time. Maybe we will try one more time to see if it was just a bad evening or if it is...

What a gem of a place! Stunning views over Polop castle especially as sunset, incredible food (muy muy bien!), beautifully presented, brilliant wine list all are well priced, very modern decor with the light tubes, huge panoramic windows & table settings in the restaurant... and most of all THE best service..
