The Georgian woman and her family who made the Bulgarian group from Switzerland feel welcomed in Spain

Bar El Castell is a place that man definitely must visit when staying in this area of Spain. We were there 3 times in 3 days - first day only for a coffee break after exploring the sightseeing on the top of the hill. We were very happy and lucky to meet Maya from Georgia! Our first order was funny, because non of us speaks Spanish...but it turned out that Maya speaks freely also German and Russian. We decided to have a lunch there the next day and were very excited to visit Georgia through their national cuisine, so our special asking was accepted with much enthusiasm. Everything was very well organized- service, drinks, starters, main courses that were very delicious...so our group of 25 people decided to go for more Khachapuri the next day as well. Even the woman wasn't prepared to see us up there again, because we didn't book tables in advance, she started preparing everything at the very moment we arrived and food was quickly served. I hardly recommend to ask for Khachapuri which is one of the best pastries I've ever tried! The exterior of El Castell is well planned. There are a few tables inside as well. The toilets were pleasant fragranted and very clean. And the view from the hill is gorgeous - with panorama of the whole city under, based in the valley and all the surrounding mountains in 360*. There are different meals and desserts. Also plenty of choices for vegetarians and vegans! I'd love to visit this place again and to meet Maya at least one more time in my life! Absolutely fantastic experience. Excellent food and lovely owner's serving. Me and my son came late at night. We didn't know they were about to close but anyway they served us with great food and never tried to hurry us even though they should have been closed. Just the most wonderful lazy lunch, we ordered eight or nine dishes from the tapas menu and each one was sublime. Highly recommend the meatballs (the sauce is incredible), the fired whitebait, calamari and carne. It was one lady making the food and serving, proper authentic Spanish, just delicious. And of course, the view is exceptional....
