Terrible service. The waitress that was there when my friend and I ate here clearly did not want to be working. I know that Americans have a reputation for complaining and expecting ridiculous levels of service. But for the record, I am American and I ate there with my English friend and I have also worked at pubs in London, UK. My friend was very upset by the service and they got her order wrong and they did not care that they got her order wrong. I ordered a sandwich with eggs, cheese and salmon. My friend ordered an omelette with just cheese and bread on the side. We shared the following tapas; tequenos, seafood fritter, some fried shrimp thing and calamari. I do not eat meat and my friend does not eat pork. We both found this menu to be really pork focused. We wanted to order certain brunch sets but all of them included ham. Anyway, they got my friendâs order wrong and put ham inside of her omelette. We waited for the waitress to come out so we could get her attention but she never came out. My friend finally went inside and told the waitress about the mistake. She then came back outside and told me that waitress was very unapologetic. If you know English culture, then you know that English people never complain when their order or wrong. They just accept their fate. So thatâs how you know it was serious. When the waitress brought the dish back out, she did not bring any bread back out with the dish. The bread was not complimentary/free. My friend paid for that bread and then never got to eat it because the waitress didnât bring it back out with the remade omelette. When it was time to pay, again the waitress never came out. Or if she came out, she would never look our way, so we were unable to get her attention. I finally went inside to ask for the bill. There were 3 female employees inside. All of them were chatting with each other. Our waitressâ back was turned towards me, so she could not see me. But her colleague who was standing right in front of our waitress was facing me and saw me but didnât stop chatting and say âthereâs a customer behind you.â They just kept chatting away. Finally an employee on the side asked me what I needed. I asked for the bill. They were taking some time to print the bill, so I went back outside to my table instead of waiting for it inside. When the waitress finally came outside with th bill, we asked to split the bill and the waitress couldnât work out the math. And Iâm not expecting her to be able to do the math in her head, but she could have taken out her phone and done the calculation. Instead I had to pull out my phone and do the calculation. I picked to go to this place because each time that I walked the beach, I saw their drink menu advertised which included an âiced pink coffee.â I was curious about this drink, so thatâs why we simply decided to have breakfast here. I was never expecting 5-start service but I also wasnât expecting a waitress who clearly didnât want...
Read moreSat down and waited 15 mins to get served, (the couple next to me gave up and left). My drink order was taken, then after another 15 minute wait, I got something completely different. I tried and failed to get the young waiter's attention, but someone else managed to grab him before he disappeared. He didn't believe me when I told him the order was wrong, (I'd even pointed on the menu so there wouldn't be a mistake due to a language barrier). He went away and I waited another 15 mins for him to come back with the correct drink and eventually i gave up and left. Very sad, given the rave...
Read moreLianne and I were so looking forward to enjoying our light lunch at Coconuts. The three ladies who were serving were terrific, the ambience of the inside looked fab. We ordered a couple of coffees and for a change, as we saw several French clientele, two croque monsiuers. They were awful. We were so disappointed. The cheapest cheese and ham plus just warm white bread. I hope it was just a bad day or perhaps a tourist place therefore don't need repeat business so serve what they like. Whatever the reason will have to hunt down other establishments if we decide to visit...
