Well, when we came to pay we were surprised by the amount but unfortunately we did not say anything. We did not want to spoil our enjoyment.

We had two different fish. Normally my meals cost €12 for two courses and a drink. The mixed grill fish was €14.50 on the menu, which seemed reasonable. When we came to pay, it was €52 for two. I mentioned this to friends, and they all agree that it was expensive.

Was the food anything special?

One of the rolls was stale.

Both fish were boney without much flesh.

Overall it was an experience.

If I was to repeat the experience I would ask beforehand, exactly how much we would be expected to pay.

As tourists, it is not uncommon to find tourists who have paid a lot for very little.

Personally, I think Gran Canaria is more expensive than the UK. (Even if a lot of people are poorer.)

Llegamos hoy a las 14:10. Había llamado un poco antes para reservar, me dijeron que no aceptaban reservas y que al llegar había que coger número y esperar. Llegamos, cogimos número y esperamos unos 15 min. Fuimos dos con un cochecito de bebé. Nos tocó mesa fuera, pequeña, sin mantel, servilleta de papel. Pedimos de entrante media de croquetas de pulpo y gambas y media de calamares, y de principal una ración de cherne para compartir, puesto que ya no tenían lubina. Los tres platos llegaron a la vez, desafortunadamente. Los calamares ricos pero salados en exceso, al igual que las papas fritas que los acompañaban (lo pueden ver en la foto). Los croquetas no me dieron más, también con papas fritas de guarnición, demasiado saladas. Nos pusieron 5, cuando en teoría venían 6. Lo peor fue el cherne. Era pequeño, con demasiadas espinas y poca carne, y además insulso y en algunas zonas algo crudo. Me corrijo, insulso no, realmente sabía a ajo, porque venía con no sé cuántos dientes de ajo picados por encima. Pedí que se lo llevaran y quitaran todo el ajo y las espinas, quedando el plato en unos pocos trozos de pescado que de fresco no tenía nada. No sé si tuvimos mala suerte o qué, pero es justo el tipo de plato que no te apetece encontrarte en un restaurante de pescado. Yo sentiría vergüenza si presentara a un comensal un plato así. Lo que más me dolió fue los 27€ que costaba, cuando un plato así no debería costar ni la mitad. Nos fuimos sin pedir postre. Lo único positivo fue un cantautor que llegó justo cuando nosotros y durante un rato tocó varios clásicos españoles con la guitarra, haciendo un poco más soportable el mal trago de la comida. Mejor olvídense de este sitio y prueben en algún otro de los varios que hay cerca...
