Els Pescadors. Llançà. — Restaurant in Llançà

I just found this online so thought I would add my somewhat belated review.

Me and my family ate here 20 years ago when the place was a bit more rustic than it is now. But I will never forget the stunning tronçon of Turbot that I had here. It ranks as one of, if not the, best piece of fish I have ever had, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Watching the staff in action we just knew that this was a place that cared about food.

The food was quiet good but the ratio quality-price was obnoxious. We were served a cava as apero, without asking for it (which was nice), which in the end were charged on to the bill (which wasn't nice). We did not get amuse bouches as the table next to us. We both ordered from the unvealed pricing suggestion list, a warm apetizer and a single fish to share (37€ per person for the fish) served wit some potatoes, and paid a total bill of 165€ including, 1 local wine bottle & 2 carajillos. Com he comentat amb motiu d'alguna ressenya anterior, Llançà disposa d'una completa oferta gastronòmica, per a totes les butxaques i preferències. Conec aquest poble de mar fa més de 50 anys i per això i per tenir-hi residència el conec bé. Els Pescadors és un gran restaurant i el meu preferit. Gestionat per la família Fernández - Punset amb Maria Àngels a la sala i Lluís a la cuina, tots dos es complementen a la perfecció. El Lluís ofereix una cuina de mar amb tocs moderns, una especialització amb la llagosta del Cap de Creus que es pot degustar de maneres diferents. Peixos del dia i entrants molt interessants com ostres, gambes, calamars a la romana sense oblidar diferents arrossos. I val la pena consultar els suggeriments del dia. El servei a sala és molt professional, on es nota la presència de Maria Àngels. Celler completíssim. Menjador interior d´estil mariner elegant, amb taules molt ben posades i separades. I amb el bon temps una terrassa íntima, al costat del port, que fa molt especials els sopars estiuencs. En les últimes setmanes l’he visitat en 2 ocasions, el que permet confirmar la seva qualitat. Hem escollit diferents entrants i en ambdues ocasions, com a plat principal, peixos al forn, extraordinaris, perfectament desespinats i emplatats. Els preus acords al producte i servei.
