Popadom John's — Restaurant in Lloret de Mar

Came to Lloret on holiday for 10 days with 3 days in Barcelona in between and can honestly say this was best place where we ate. I am South Asian used to home cooked food so hard to impressbut the chef has brought that home cooked vibe from his travels in India and nepal. Fot starters the chef created a unique dish of loaded poppadoms - we have all heard of Mexican loaded nachos but this was one step up with mini papadoms coated in Dahl makhani and yoghurt and unique touch of jalapeño making a fusion street food dish. The locally sourced halloumi fries are lovely with a tempered sweet basil side.

There was a nice selection of mains with heat levels adjustable to taste with the vindaloo featuring scotch bonnets grown in the chef's own garden! The chicken was also marinated for a long time in 30 ingredients.

The location is a short step away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip so good location for some calm with also nice music in background for a good vibe. Would recommend if you are in Catulunya...

Popadom John’s had only been open a few days when we called in, delicious street food which he cooks from scratch, he even makes his own curry powder. He showed us his tandoori oven which was pretty impressive where he makes the naans and tandoori chicken. We had some tapas, chilli cheese croquettes, gourmet chips and curry (which were the best chips ever!), halloumi fries with this gorgeous chilli & basil dip. Very nice chilled atmosphere attended with my partner and daughter, John the good goes out of his way to make sure them dishes are how they should be the food is how you should expect very nice quality, I wish I had the waiters name as he was as straight up as they come a very kind genuine man asked him the story behind the restaurant both worked opened the restaurant and asked the waiter/ manager to come, nice story behind the place, really hope the thrive as thrive for many years to come, made me my partner and daughter feel right at home, please if you see...
