Restaurante Chino Hong Fa — Restaurant in Logroño

Walked in here on a dare, basically thinking that Chinese food in the middle of Logroño couldn't be any good. Boy were we wrong. In general this the dishes were flavorful and not oversauced. At special request the chef whipped up a batch of MaPo tofu for us. Similarly staff were able to locate four bottles of cold Tsingdao. The Peking duck was also interesting; not cooked traditionally but we think sent for a dip in the fryer. It tasted great nonetheless, served with homemade pancakes, pickles, onion and plum sauce. I was here 11/04/2019, the hours on Google maps were wrong. I returned 12/04/2019 12:30. The worker/owners family were eating. Ordered the sweet & sour chicken (6 or 7 pieces) onions, pineapple, carrots and peppers. It's stands alone. You have to order rice and other items you want. Antes de nada decir que hace poco que vivo en Logroño y que siempre me ha encantado la buena comida china. Por otra parte y por desgracia, consecuencia de haber tenido que lidiar con restaurantes chinos en los que lo que te ponían en el plato daba realmente asco, he ido perdiendo afición a este tipo de restaurantes. La semana pasada decidí jugármela y me metí en este ahora llamado "Hong Fa". Nada mas entrar (desde la calle no se ve) me dí cuenta además de que el salón es un poco cutrecillo de que había un ligero olor a aceite recalentado (no lo soporto) y pensé: "las has cagao, sal de aquí corriendo antes de que sea demasiado tarde". Nada mas lejos de la realidad. Me pedí un menú por 8,50€ y la comida está "Que se sale!!" buena calidad de ingredientes, bien cocinados y con un sabor excelente. Sólo probé lo que me pedí en el menu obviamente pero pienso volver y recorrerme la carta porque de verdad que es todo un descubrimiento y a que precio!
