Masala cottage Indian Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Los Alcázares

I went to Masala cottage restaurant 24 December 2024, I arrived there with my wife at 7pm we were seated and after a short while we were given a menu the waiter returned and asked what we would like to drink we were not given a drinks menu he then got a drinks menu and we ordered a bottle of wine and he took our food order. An hour and a half passed and no food was delivered to our table at this stage we had drank the bottle of wine we then asked a staff member how much longer would it be before the food would be brought to our table we told as it was Christmas eve the kitchen was busy and we were in a que to get our food. We were not told this when we went into the restaurant,They were still letting people into the restaurant even if they could not deliver food to the tables within a reasonable time. Our night was destroyed, we were at this stage over hungry and had taken wine on an empty stomach, not good. In my view the people running this restaurant were not concerned about people's well-being or if they were destroying peoples night's, all they wanted was to get as many people into the restaurant and getting as much money as possible. Shame on them. The restaurant had a good number of people in it and I could see there was a lot of unhappy people in the restaurant who were also unhappy as they to were waiting a very long time to be served. The Spanish tourist board should let establishments like this operate. PS my advice is not to attend...

Booked over the phone last night, straight away the gentleman on the phone was so polite and helpful.

As you will see from my reviews I had a less than pleasant experience at another local Indian just a couple of weeks ago when we where basically told where we had to sit.

My experience last night could not of been more different. We where looked after by a charming Asian waiter,, John, we where offered a choice of tables in a beautifully appointed restaraunt with great air con.

The food was delicious,,,the lamb Madras superb, tender lamb and a wonderful sauce...

The Pilau rice was aromatic and both the curries and rice offered more than generous portions.

The price for the food and drinks are more than reasonable and John's attention towards us carried on throughout the evening.

If your looking for a great Indian restaurant then this is the place to go.

Can't wait to return for another great experience.

I recently visited Masala Cottage and was truly impressed by the exceptional service. The young male waiter stood out for his impeccable hygiene and professionalism, which immediately made me feel comfortable. Equally wonderful was the young waitress, whose thoughtful and insightful care added a lovely personal touch to the evening.

As for the food, I enjoyed some of the dishes and feel there’s still more to explore on the menu—I’m looking forward to discovering new favorites on my next visit.
