La Marca - Refugio Gastronómico — Restaurant in Málaga

This a well placed Argentinian Steakhouse. Close to the Soho district but not as pricey as this popular area. We had dinner there on a Saturday. The place was busy but not extremely so. We had a very well done provoleta in generous size , enough for the 4 of us to share. Then I shared a huge (1 kg) chuletón with one of my companions. It was rare, just as we ordered. Our female companions went for the chicken supreme and the vegetable lasagna, all dishes were reasonably sized and came with side orders of tasty potatoes and vegetables. We took advice from the maitre d’ regarding wine. An spectacular Argentinian Malbec which was a perfect match for the meat. Desserts were also nice. I am always weary of advice from the staff regarding wines but in this occasion it was fantastic. Really good value for money. We did not have to wait long for our dishes and the service was correct. We enjoyed a selection of starters and entrees, all of which were generously portioned. The overall dining experience was very pleasant. While I didn't capture any photos, the food was beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. Parking was convenient with an underground lot located just steps from the restaurant entrance. The prices were reasonable and aligned with the restaurant's location and ambiance.

The only one that will draw back from this restaurant is it didn't have a menu specifically geared towards kids between 3 and 12 years old like chicken fingers or pizza. Also most of their pasta dishes were crossed...

Awkward. Wen't for a steak. Everything wen't well, got steak, which was a bit too rare as I ordered medium, which wasn't a too big problem for me. The beef was very high quality. Then I ordered pancake as a 'postre'. Then, from my point of view it wen't bizarre, no one came to my table to ask If needed something. Waited for a 20mins, went to lavatory, and after that to the front desk for the payment. The waiter who serviced me before took the payment and looked as I had done something horrible for her. Don't know If I done something wrong(?), just sitted quiet and...
