I just want to make clear the staff is amazing, helpful and just the best. I just have some comments about the downstairs area in the hopes you can improve... after all this was my favourite place to hang out by the beach. Slowly slowly its losing its magic...and I would hate to see it fail. The reason it is empty during the day is because it is freezing. Heating it up will set you apart from everybody else in the promenade. Older people, who are the ones with free time to spend the day here, cannot stand the cold in winter. Violin is NOT a nice instrument to be played for ambiance on its own. It is irritating... you cannot speak, you cannot read. It serves no purpose in this setting other than ascetic. Piano ok..guitar...ok. Definitely not a violin or chello. At night if you are to put some music, it takes very little effort to build a nice playlist on spotify. Playing a public radio station together with white noise and random songs that control the mood of your place shows little interest in your clients. Last advice... which is probably relatable to every single bar in Malaga... dimm the lights down and add one small candle to each table. It costs like 5 eur for the entire restaurant and the place goes from ¨operation table¨ to ¨warm magical place for a date¨. It is no accident everybody is shifting to other bars... I hope my comment get read and is taken in a positive light. I want la chancla to stay and do great and honestly it is almost there. I worked in hospitality for many many years and I guarantee you that if you implement this, you will be...
Read moreThe location of this small Hotel at the Beach-Front of Pedregalejo is perfect. It's a vibrant area where people meet in the numerous Beach Bars and Restaurants. Also La Chancla has its own Restaurant and Bar with also a lot of non-hotelguests which is a very good sign either. The Breakfast is until 12 👍|The rooftop terrace with whirlpool offers a fantastic view. I didn't make use of the self-service bar there. The whirlpool's water temperature is rather low - maybe fitting for hot summer evenings, but not really for fresh late March evenings.|The room under the roof was cosy. There was no chest of drawers or so, just a clothes rail. But I didn't really miss it, because I was there alone for just a couple of days. It might me missed though for a longer stay of 2 weeks or so with some more cloths.|The bathroom was nice with a larger than standard shower.|The room was cleaned every day, but unfortunately the floor was never cleaned although with the days it got a bit sandy.|Over all a perfect stay for me and I would...
Read moreFabulous hotel situated right Infront of the beach. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Rooms made up with fresh towels every day. Comfortable room with a fantastic view overlooking the beach and sea. A modern and stylish shower room. Compact but perfectly adequate. Powerful shower with 2 heads. Food in the downstairs restaurant was excellent with friendly and helpful waiters and waitresses. At breakfast there was either a guitarist or organist playing relaxed music. The hotel is flanked either side by bars and restaurants which all were of a good standard and all quite laid back selling good tapas/food and drinks. The bar in La Chancla was very good. Another of my favourites was El Kiosco, just around the corner. Málaga centre is only a short taxi ride away.|Overall a wonderful hotel, lovely staff and in a great position. |I must point out that I came in November. I would imagine the area to be much busier and in the...
