Sabor Con Encanto - Brunch & Healthy Eating — Restaurant in Málaga

We were excited to try Sabor con Encanto, but overall the experience was a bit disappointing. The place was quiet, with only a few tables occupied, so we expected a more welcoming vibe. The man behind the counter told us where to sit and gave us the menus, but there was no real warmth or conversation. Not rude, just not particularly friendly either.

We were two people and ordered a satay chicken sandwich and a Caesar salad, with a hummus plate to share as a starter.

Things got confusing right away. The hummus came out first, but it was served with a salad that no one ordered. It was the wrong one. While we waited for the correct dish, the server asked if the person who ordered the sandwich wanted bacon. He said yes, but the bacon ended up on the salad instead.

The food itself was mixed. The satay chicken sandwich had great flavor. The Caesar salad was just okay. The biggest letdown was the hummus. It is described as homemade, and maybe it is, but it tasted nothing like proper hummus. I would not recommend it.

One more thing to mention. For a place that presents itself as healthy, it was surprising that all the bread options were white, with no whole grain available.

This café is simply outstanding! The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was top-notch. The menu is thoughtfully designed, with clear allergen labels for everything—lactose, gluten, fish, and more.

The owner gave us fantastic recommendations, and we absolutely loved the banana pancakes with black beans. They were so unique and flavorful! The drinks were also excellent. We tried the avocado and egg toast, as well as the hummus, which was hands-down the best we’ve ever had.

The interior is beautifully decorated, creating a cozy and stylish atmosphere. There’s also a small terrace with a few outdoor tables, perfect for enjoying good weather.

I have had breakfast and lunch at Sabor con Encanto restaurant twice and I could not recommend them more than the sterling quality of food and presentation on every dish we have ordered here. The kitchen is fast and efficient where we received our meal in a very reasonable time but no quality was spared as the meal looked and tasted exquisite. Donny and Andrea, the owners of Sabor con Encanto, have really done an excellent job putting together a healthy yet tasty menu especially considering all the restaurant choices one has in Malaga.
