Sushi Flower | Málaga | Gluten Free — Restaurant in Málaga

Very disappointed. We went here for lunch with high expectations given the 4.8 stars. Unfortunately we were all disappointed. This is not a real sushi place. It’s like supermarket sushi with good service. 1. Real sushi restaurants offer more than tuna, salmon & prawns. 2. Cream cheese should NOT be in basically every roll. 3. Miso is not vegetable soup. I have no idea how they call their soup miso but it was a cold watered down vegetable soup that didn’t even have a slightest taste of miso. 4. The sushi pieces & rolls were overloaded with rice. And lastly, 5. For this price point, supermarket sushi is better and we all would have enjoyed that more since our expectations would have been just that. We are not sushi connoisseurs but do eat sushi frequently and know the difference between good and bad.

I hope this restaurant learns how to make properly sushi, rolls & miso soup. Sushi is an art. It’s quite a shame & engaño that this restaurant is rated so high on google. We have another sushi restaurant in Malaga centro that we would have preferred to go to but wouldn’t have made it in time for lunch so we opted to try this place.

On the plus side, the service was overall great. They also reheated our “miso” soup for us since it came out cold. The portion of the soup is great - I’ve never had a bowl so big at a restaurant. If only it were actually miso soup..

Review of Sushi Flower near María Zambrano, Málaga

Sushi Flower, a small but charming sushi restaurant located near María Zambrano train station in Málaga, remains an absolute favorite. We have visited three times now, and each time has been a delightful experience.

It is important to book in advance, as otherwise, you risk sitting outside. Normally, that wouldn’t be an issue, but this time it was cold, and the sharp wind made it uncomfortable. What stood out, however, was the attentive service of a staff member we have seen all three times. As always, he was incredibly friendly and observant. When he noticed we were cold, he even offered me a coat from the restaurant. The other staff members were also friendly, although we had less interaction with them. That level of service is truly exceptional!

And now, the most important part: the sushi. Once again, it was delicious and prepared quickly. The quality and flavor are always consistent.

In short, Sushi Flower is a place we will definitely keep coming back to. The food, service, and atmosphere make this restaurant a true gem in Málaga....

Small, cosy place with outdoor seating. So many choices of sushi to choose from. A MUST GO for anyone visiting Malaga. The staff is so friendly and has good English, no problem communicating. We got Tokyo sushi as I wanted to try red rice and it did not disappoint. The salmon was smoked and the flavour was just melting on my tongue . We also got barcelona sushi. The tuna was so soft , ive never had anything like it. Perfect combination of crunchy and soft texture. The chicken poke bowl was a 10/10 I do wish there was more chicken, the spring rolls and gyozas also 10/10. Im gluten intolerant so this was HEAVEN to me. So many choices and I knew id be safe and not get any problems later on. HONESTLY PLEASE GO HERE THEY DESERVE...
