Three years ago we played a room here. Today we had the chance to play another one. The "Death Penalty" room was created three months ago. And it was clear this room was newly made, loaded with advanced mechanics. It was not the common 'Solve Puzzle A to get key to Padlock A', 'Reach under bed 1, table 2, chair 3 and find 3 keys to unlock padlock 1, 2 and 3'.
It was suited with electronically activated locks and puzzles. We were impressed from the start and we kept getting impressed during the experience. We have seen plenty of rooms and this room managed to still impress us plenty. The room was equipped with puzzles that require logic, communication, and even a small bit of physical skill. It was also nice that everything functioned well. I do not really blame the company if something electronic does not function as it should, such as electronic safes, but it unfortunately happens sometimes and it takes you out of the flow you're in. It is frustrating to know for 99,9% certainty you've solved the puzzle, but the mechanics fail. Nothing failed, and there were plenty of things that could have failed.
There is an extra side quest available for people that have spare time. We were with two people, but the 'Death Penalty' room also has the option to make it a duel. There are communication services to call the other room. To help, or to purposely guide them on the wrong path. The side quest is one prize for both rooms and the first to get it, gets the bonus.
This room can definitely be played stand-alone without the competition element, but the competition element seems well designed and will most definitely ad an extra layer of challenge to the game. It is all very, very well...

Dungeons and Druids: A delightful room with a solid production value. The puzzles presented a medium-level challenge, numerous yet manageable. The girl game master was friendly and helpful, enhancing our experience.
The Robbery: This room fell short of expectations. It felt outdated and somewhat low-budget. The guy game master wasn't as supportive as expected, especially compared to the previous room's staff. Additionally, one task required Spanish proficiency, posing a challenge for non-Spanish speakers.
The Death Penalty: The standout of the three. It featured clever and intriguing clues, making the experience extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend this room for its fun and engaging setup.

Read moreExperiencia con una de cal y otra de arena. Fuimos un grupo de 5 personas, experimentadas en escape rooms. Hicimos 2 salas que no tenían nada que ver, con respecto a ambientación y ejecución, "Druidas y Mazmorras" y "El Robo".
Druidas y Mazmorras: La ambientación es impresionante. Desde que entras, te sumerges completamente en la historia. La decoración, luces y efectos, evocan muy bien el misterio y la magia. Mientras vas avanzando te adentras, cada vez mas en la mazmorra de un druida. Los acertijos, están muy bien elaborados. Tienen el equilibrio perfecto entre lógica, creatividad y cooperación. Son dinámicos y originales, con un hilo conductor claro, que te permite avanzar progresivamente. La GM, estuvo atenta en todo momento, muy acertada con las pistas y un trato excepcional al finalizar la sala, resolviendo dudas y mostrando puzzles de la sala no resueltos. Divertido y entretenido. Recomendable tanto para principiantes como avanzados.
El Robo: Lamentablemente, la ambientación es un desastre. La decoración y efectos, no te hacen sentir que estas dentro de un banco. La atmosfera es fría y poco inspiradora. Es tan austera que parece una sala genérica, con algunos objetos mal colocados, que no logran crear la tensión ni el ambiente adecuados. La procedencia de la música no tiene sentido, ¿Quién encendería una radio en mitad del robo de un banco?, no ayuda a meterte en la historia. Los acertijos están mal hilados y no tienen un flujo natural, están muy forzados y poco creativos. El problema principal es que no hay una lógica clara entre ellos, hay pistas mal colocadas y desgastadas y algunas pilas con poca carga, lo que hace que la experiencia se sienta desconectada y frustrante, llevando a los jugadores a atascarse sin razón y afectando a la fluidez del juego. La experiencia carece de dinamismo y emoción. La mala ambientación, la desconexión entre puzzles y la falta de flujo en el desarrollo, se siente más, como una tarea aburrida que como una verdadera aventura. La GM, simpática y atenta en todo momento, nos daba todas las pista para poder avanzar. Aunque la finalización de la sala fue algo confusa, fuimos atendidos correctamente. La idea de robar un banco suena emocionante, pero esta sala deja mucho que desear. No te sientes dentro de un banco y mucho de menos del Londres de 1920. No...
