Cafè Menorca — Restaurant in Maó

This was my 1st visit here & we sat outside at one of the 8 available tables,initially I just only ordered a couple glasses of Cava Sangria and received very pleasant table service.Also viewing the extensive menu options it was our intention to return back later for some lunch.A change of mind soon came about after seeing other customers having their food served. An order choice of Bruschetta (tomato, garlic & basil )along Nachos with cheese & chilli con carne both to share was placed before our drinks had arrived. I found the glasses of Cava Sangria (€5 each)which had ice & fruit (lemon,orange& apple bits ) to be very disappointing in taste,very weak infact more like a watered down non alcohol soft drink than a traditional Cava Sangria delight.Food wise the 2 slices of Bruschetta were over loaded with a mountain of freshly chopped tomatoes which made the bread soggy,another disappointing order but we found the Nachos to be very nice .The inside bar area also does have about 4 or 5 tables .I also found out when paying the bill that a 1euro additional charge had automatically been added for the terrace service ! It's the 1st time after many visits to Menorca I've come across this happening when dinning out.The single toilet facility inside was clean but had run out or wasn't stocked with hand paper towels during our visit .The staff on duty were very pleasant & spoke very good English but I wouldn't return back again after this lunch time...

Went for lunch before flying home. Clearly people move on but the pasta made by the chef was delicious. If they still do fresh pasta you have to try it…. Very reasonably priced. The main waiter was a really nice Italian who was great with...

…nell’attesa di arrivare all’aeroporto di Mahon!!…il mio volo partiva in tarda mattinata!!…ho fatto un giretto nel centro della città!!…a parte vedere il più grande porto naturale dí Minorca!!…qui si può fare una visita anche per la sua architettura!!…l’atmosfera di mare!!…e lo shopping!!…e poi ho fatto una pausa caffè!!…al “Cafè Menorca”!!…locale che si trova proprio in centro!!…complice la bella giornata di fine maggio!!…mi sono seduta a un tavolino all’aperto!!…ho preso un caffè!!…e poi ho usufruito della toilette!!…buona accoglienza!!…da parte della ragazza che è venuta a prendere l’ordine al tavolo!!…che dire!!…è stata proprio una piacevole pausa!!…qui al “Cafè Menorca”!!…nel centro storico di Mahon!!…Minorca da...
