Wow! After a week spent in Lavapiés on the night before heading back to the US my partner and I decided to stay closer to the airport to make getting up for the flight that much easier, we’d had a variety of incredible food. Originally we planned to go to a vegan Peruvian inspired restaurant back downtown, “healthy meal” before a day of travel, well we are SO happy we did not wind up doing that. Neither of us speak nearly enough Spanish to compliment this restaurant the way that we want to. Service was incredible, the food was impeccable- I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to eat lamb any other way. Our server Jamie was fabulous and although there was a language barrier it didn’t make service any different. We work for an airline, thank God, so we have the fortune of being able to return in the near future and we certainly plan on it. We are now expert cider pourers and we will be talking about this meal until the next time it’s in our mouths. Seriously, thank you so much! Incredible exit to a wonderful city- we love Madrid!!! -Kali and John

Absolutely phenomenal dining experience. Didn't have a chance to take pictures as we dug straight in. A full octopus?!?! Unreal. Honestly the best food we've eaten since coming to Madrid. We're staying at the Marriott and the place surrounding the hotel is very industrial. To find this was so unexpected! We feel very lucky to have chosen to come here instead of heading into the centre. Not to forget you can help yourself to the cider inside the huge barrels to the side of the restaurant. Please come here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed! Between 4 of us we had the ham croquettes, Octopus, duck fois gras, traxtillo, lamb shoulder, sucking pig and cod loin pil pil. Wayyyy too much food but we made a great effort. Had to bring some home with us. 10/10 for everything. Definitely come here, we definitely will be before heading home.

Hemos ido a comer a este restaurante como hemos hecho otras veces,pero hoy hemos visto cambios a peor. Yo me pedí con toda la ilusion del mundo el costillar,cocinado a baja temperatura,la carne deliciosa,el hueso se depega de la carne y se nota la calidad,pero llegó frio y a la hora de comerlo,pierde mucho la calidad. Mi amigo se pidió un chuletón con la tipica brasita que te ponen en la mesa,,le dijeron que era un kg de carne y que para una persona era mucho,cuando llegó a la mesa resultó que el kg era con el hueso,asi que de carne habria 400 gr,que luego nos lo confirmó la camarera.Al terminar,este restaurante siempre nos ponia las tipicas botellitas de hierbas y crema de orujo de la casa,,pero cuando pedimos el chupito ,nos trajeron solo dos chupitos,,y la camarera nos dijo que nos trajo los chupitos porque le parecia mas elegante( según ella ) ,le preguntamos que si ya no servian las botellitas como cortesia,,y nos dijo que si el cliente lo pedia,si,,pero esque el cliente no tiene que pedirlo,en un sitio como este,que te dejas 80 pavos de cuenta,es un detalle que siempre tenian con el cliente,y que esta vez no tuvieron,,porque vimos que en todas las mesas hacian lo mismo,servian chupitos,asi que,que no me diga la camarera que ha sido idea suya,,por que no es verdad,seguramente que lo hacen para reducir costes,porque obviamente que el cliente no lo va a pedir por verguenza o porque no lo sabe. Asi que yo si tuviera que recomendar este restaurante a alguien,a dia de hoy,no lo haria,,cuando entramos habia literalmente 2 mesas,,asi que la comida fria no es porque estuviesen desbordados precisamente. Chuletón ( 48 euros ) Costillar a la barbacoa ( 17 euros ) Botella de vino 500 cl. ( 10 euros ) Un cuarto de piña ( 5,25 euros ) Manzanilla ( 1,75 Euros )

Stopped here on our last night in Madrid before flying home. Was hoping for a good "last meal" before we left after a week of eating well in the area. This ended up being one of our most memorable meals and was nothing short of a feast. The staff was excellent and more attentive than most places we had eaten at. They took time to explain menu items and make recommendations and went over and above to be sure our experience was great.

We opted for a bit more expensive meal than we normally seek out and at the end of the night I was thinking this may be one of the few times where I feel I got everything and more for the money and would have been happy if it had cost more.

They brought out multiple courses throughout the night and each one was delicious. Even tried some new stuff I would not normally order. Very satisfied with our meal.

If you're staying near the airport for a flight the next day, don't hesitate to skip the hotel restaurants and go right...
