La Carta De Rast — Restaurant in Madrid

The ambiance and service are excellent, but… the food I ordered was completely off. I can’t objectively speak for everything they cook, but, for example, the goat cheese salad was overly sweet and not well balanced with seasoning which is a complete miss because additional salt, vinegar, or olive oil couldn’t balance it out. Another thing, the burger – the meat was coarsely ground and cooked through to a pinkish color,rare, almost as if it was boiled and then thrown on the grill. It was juicy but lacked the proper beef flavor, weird smokey taste. Of course, I don’t expect a burger on the level of Bunsen, Eddie Rockets, or In-N-Out, but something better than McDonald’s, Five Guys, or Burger King…...
