Rip off The whole experience was a rip off and disappointing. The pricing was ridiculous (€23 for less than a cup of rice with miniature pieces of "seafood' multiply times 2 (required minimum order for paella is €46). But was most disappointing is the way misguided their item pricing on the menu. Oh, not to mention it was NOT the best paella we've had much better. Simply NOT worth it We were sitting at the bar as there was no free table, but they charged us for drinks as we had a table, that doubled the price. In total we paid €70 for one paella, salad of 2 tomatoes and 2 drinks. Ridiculous!!! The manu was only in Spanish and the only person speaking English was the owner. However, he and the whole staff were very friendly but not so helpful with regards to the menu and rules of the order. In general not pleasant experience as you feel to...

Amazing arroz (paella) in Madrid.

From the moment I arrived, the service was truly the very best. Special shoutout to Jose and Andrea, along with the rest of the amazing team – they went above and beyond and made me feel genuinely special.

The atmosphere is authentic, filled with locals – always a good sign. It’s away from the touristy area. Reservations are a must, and now I understand why.

And the food? One of the best paellas I’ve had in Madrid – maybe even in all of Spain. This restaurant specializes in arroces (rice). Amazing socarrat.

Can’t wait to return. Highly...

La oferta gastronómica de Madrid siempre ha sido buena y variada. Pero reconozco que ahora es excepcional, aunque inabarcable. No sé a vosotros, pero a mi me imposible estar al día de los últimos restaurantes de la ciudad y mi lista de pendientes va creciendo semana tras semana.

A los nuevos, se unen los de siempre; y entre los de siempre, destacan aquellos que han sabido abrirte la puerta y hacerte sentir en casa.

Por eso, por los de siempre, he decidido volver a esos que son historia y que han formado parte de la mia.

Entre mis favoritos esta @restaurante_samm . Es de esos sitios que siempre recomiendas porque sabes que todo va a ir bien o donde reservas un domingo cualquiera. Un lugar que ha acompañado a una ciudad en su cambio, pero sin cambiar nada porque no hace falta, porque todo está perfecto, como ya lo estaba cuando Vicente y Carmen, abrieron sus puertas un septiembre de un 1973.

Podría decir mucho de este lugar y de lo que se siente al entrar. De verdad, es casa.

Sin salir de mi zona de confort, he vuelto a los imprescindibles: ensaladilla rusa, arroz del senyoret y tarta de queso. Arriesgando, aunque aquí eso no es posible, un calamar a la plancha que pasa a la lista de imprescindibles y dejo pendiente (otra vez) la paella valenciana que me vuelvo a prometer para mi próxima visita.
