Coto Manilva is hands down the best spot for Sunday lunch. We come here regularly, and every visit is a reminder of why it’s our favourite. The food is consistently outstanding, the setting is warm and welcoming, and the hospitality is second to none. A huge part of what makes Coto so special is Alonso, the manager. His attention to detail and commitment to top-tier service truly set this place apart. From the moment you walk in, he makes sure you feel right at home, going above and beyond to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s exactly what a Sunday lunch should be. Perfectly cooked meats, rich and flavourful gravies, crispy-yet-fluffy roast potatoes, and homemade Yorkshire puddings that hit the spot every time. Every dish is crafted with care, and you can taste the quality in every bite. Great food is one thing, but when it’s paired with genuine hospitality like this, it turns a meal into an experience. Coto Manilva gets it right every time. If you haven’t been yet, put it at the top of your list—you won’t be disappointed!

The food was absolutely amazing ,really delicious and beautifully prepared. The only small disappointment was regarding the sides. When the waiter asked me which sides I wanted with my meat, there was no mention that each side costs an additional 4,95€. The menu didn’t list any sides or their prices, which felt a bit misleading. It was honestly a bit of a surprise to see almost 10€ extra on the bill just for fries and vegetables. I believe many customers, myself included, really appreciate transparency , it helps avoid awkward surprises and keeps the whole experience feeling fair and enjoyable. Otherwise, everything was lovely!

On the terrace at the new COTO Steak House & Restaurante , Sabinillas. We thought it would be very good if it was associated with Nautilus Gastro-Bar Sabinillas. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere, efficient service, great menu. 👍 No wonder it was bursting at the seams! 😁 It was excellent👏👏👏

Great Food, Sour Taste Left Behind

This Argentinian steakhouse (with a British Sunday roast twist) offers truly excellent food. We’ve eaten here several times since they opened and brought along various guests, always impressed with the quality across the board, from the perfectly cooked steaks to the fresh veg, tasty sauces, and generous starters (and great Yorkshire puddings). The portions are hearty, the atmosphere light and welcoming, and the drinks list well stocked. We’ve always spent well and tipped generously, because we genuinely appreciated the experience.

Until our last visit.

We ordered tinto de verano prepared with lemon. The first round came from the machine — not ideal, but we didn’t complain. For the second round, we politely clarified the request for it to be prepared with red wine and lemon soda. What we received was a regular portion, heavy on the ice, and on the bill, each one was charged as a glass of wine and a bottle of soda. That might have been technically what was used (likely split between the drinks), but the pricing felt inflated.

I quietly mentioned this to the waitress, expecting perhaps an explanation or adjustment. Instead, I was curtly told I didn’t understand how they do things, and that they’d "do me a favour" and change the bill this time, but next time I should know better. The tone was condescending, even vaguely threatening. Given this same waitress had previously been overly familiar in manner, it felt like a complete shift in tone.

It’s a real shame. The food is arguably the best of its kind in the area, but we’re now torn about returning. When service turns from friendly to dismissive over a polite query, it leaves a bad taste, no matter how...

We had lunch here last weekend following many excellent reviews and Wow what a place to eat. We opted for the English style roast dinner, a good benchmark for us to judge. We had a reservation and on our arrival were shown to our table and made comfortable. Drinks were provided promptly and we were given ample time to make our selection. I went for roast beef and my partner for chicken. Throughout the experience Alonso, Paul, Elisabeth and the others were wonderfully attentive with attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. The star of the show arrived, the food. Oh my god. The beef was cooked perfectly, pink in the middle and melted in my mouth, the chicken also excellent. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and included a divine cauliflower cheese and puree swede. The roast potatoes crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. Possibly the most difficult skill to master is Yorkshire puddings. They were absolutely spot on. The desert was an excellent banoffee pie and a white chocolate cheese cake. The restaurant was clean and immaculately decorated with a superb ambience. But the star of the day the beautiful food was just like eating Michelin star food. The price at about 30 euros per head was great value for a drink, main course, sweet and coffee. We were so impressed we have booked for New year. Alonso and the team you...
