Marejada Restaurante — Restaurant in Manilva

I wouldn’t recommend this place for a few reasons. We were waiting a long time for our food to arrive, maybe 45 minutes and it wasn’t busy, maybe one other table. My mother ordered steak and chips and although the steak was nice, it came with 5 singular chips that were hollow, I will attach the picture I ordered spaghetti and garlic prawns, I did not enjoy it after a few bites so I said I’d just eat the prawns since I’d be paying for it, but I only ate a few and the felt gritty in my mouth so I couldn’t even eat the prawns, I left 85% of the dish, I will attach the photo of this. When the waitress came to collect our plates she saw I hadn’t eaten much and she asked do I want it for takeaway, I said no and she took the plate and left, she didn’t ask if everything was ok, but I also could have told her myself, but being polite, I did not The main reason I wanted to write the review. While waiting for our food, the waiter brought over a small ramican of olives and 2 bread rolls that we didn’t ask for or order, so we presumed these came with our meals and were free, we didn’t touch the olives and we don’t like them, we ate the bread rolls, when the bill came, the had charged us for the bread rolls and olives on the bill that we never ordered! It cost €5 all together, I nearly would have let this slide if I enjoyed my meal, but I didn’t, so I said it to the waiter, I said what are these charges? He said it was the olives and bread, I said but we didn’t order them? He said oh oh something about the system and walked away and got a new bill without the extra €5, I think this is a scam they do to every table to get an extra €5, as €5 from every...

ATTENTION: RIP-OFF! After reading these comments, I'm sure I got tricked and feel deeply disappointed!

I wanted to check the menu before sitting down, but a waiter approached me right away and tried to talk me into the restaurant (always bothering me and usually a reason for me to pass on). I said I need to check the menu first, while he kept distracting me with comments. Yet I could see the most expensive plate cost 27€, so I decided to stay and ordered Sea Bream. He then asked me, if I wanted a small, medium size or large fish. Since I didn't know about the difference in size, I asked him to show it to me. There wasn't a big difference between small and medium so I ordered a medium one.

Everything was fine, except that it took about 45 minutes to prepare the food, but it tasted pretty good. Eventually I asked for the cheque and was SHOCKED, that the fish alone had cost 60€! (See the photo and decide for yourself if this is a 60€ meal.)

I was confused, payed bewildered and checked the menu again, asking the waiter, which one I had. He showed me the one that cost 27€ but said I had 1 kg of it, which is 60€! I didn't know what to say. There was only one smaller fish, which was maybe 15% smaller and that caused 22€+ raise? It's also ridiculous reading in the reviews, that everyone else payed between 20 and 40€, so this must have been something personal.

I actually wanted to leave a good review until then, but this is clearly a SCAM for tourists, so save your money...

EDICIÓN: He vuelto a añadir el comprobante de pago con tarjeta realizado el Miércoles 31 de Julio a las 22:13. Por favor, revise bien los pagos recibidos porque este debe aparecer efectuado.

Por desgracia, para mí familia y para mí, la experiencia ha sido lamentable. Si bien del servicio y del trato recibido no tengo queja alguna, la comida es para no repetir, horrible. Pedimos boquerones, "rosada" o al menos eso ponía en la carta, almejas y brocheta de pollo (lo único que tenía buen sabor y estaba bien cocinado).

De los boquerones son casi de los peores que he comido en mi vida, pero quiero hacer especial mención a la "rosada" que no sabía para nada a rosada y la guinda se la llevan las almejas. Del tamaño inferior a un guisante, con arena y sin sabor a nada. Vergonzoso.

Tanto la "rosada" como las almejas las reclamé al que parecía encargado de mesas, pero no sirvió para nada, según él ambos platos estaban como de costumbre en el restaurante, pues si eso es de costumbre pues lo pago pero pongo esta reseña para que otro viajero sepa que la costumbre de comida de este restaurante es paupérrima.

Posteriormente, una vez había pagado la cuenta, el encargado me remitió al dueño del negocio a qué expusiera mi queja. Sin tiempo para reclamar le informe que pondría reseña explicando el desastre de comida que habían servido. Al menos que otros clientes sepan a qué se exponen.

Por cierto, el pan que sirven debe ser de la panadería boomer, chicloso y correoso, lamentable.

Quizás servir estos boquerones, rosada o almejas a un extranjero pueda pasar. Pero a un turista español que está acostumbrado a comer buen pescado y marisco no cuela.

De verdad os digo, nos sentimos estafados. Hacía tiempo que no comía así de mal. Mucho plato bonito, muy buen trato, pero una comida horrible e impropia de la gastronomía de una preciosa cuidad de la costa malagueña como es Sabinillas.

EDIT 1: A la respuesta del dueño del local en el que informaba que me devolvería el importe puse lo siguiente:

TAL COMO INDICA EN SU RESPUESTA AÑADO FOTO DE COMPROBANTE DE PAGO REALIZADO CON TARJETA.

EDIT 2: Pasados unos días el dueño del local NO HA HECHO NADA POR DEVOLVER EL IMPORTE.

Por curiosidad he buscado información del restaurante en tripadvisor y me he encontrado con con que no he sido el único que se siente estafado por el servicio. Aquí lo podéis...
