We tried some restaurants in this area and most of them had a hint of a trap but not this one. D'Aquinos has many spanish classics which are all very good and also some dishes with quite an interesting new take on. Also on both visits they offered different meals which were not on the menue which is also always a good sign. The gorgonzola pear croquettes were awesome for example as well as my burger (densely packed with flavour), smashed one with two patties. Or the soft cheesecake where soft might be a nifty understatement.
Many dishes are also available as a tapas version so you could dig through half of the menue and explode afterwards.

Read moreFirst visit to D’Aquinos, met our friends here last night. Fantastic tasting food, very friendly and courteous staff. We had a small selection of tapas and langostinos crujientes. Followed by the pata de pulpo a la brasa, with sweet potato, I choose well with this dish! My wife had churrasco de pollo which she said was delicious. Our friends had the smash burger and wok de langostinos which they both really enjoyed. We had a bottle of wine, bottle of Brut and a few canas followed by 1 carrot cake. We ordered: Gorgonzola croquettes Prawns pil pil secreto iberico beef pastries (empanadas) langostinos crujientes
The empanadas were a little dry, but with the sauce served with them they were still good. We really enjoyed the rest! With the prawns, we ate every drop of the sauce with some bread because it was so good!
