Dolcegas — Restaurant in Marbella

As a solo traveler I attended this restaurant on my first day of holiday because it was quiet. I went for something relatively easy (as empty restaurants aren't usually good hey). Service was poor. Food was dead given it was an Italian restaurant which is suppose to be food of love. Main was embarrassing but the sauce was nice which helped the dry chicken and ridiculous fries served with it. Makes no sense. Who serves fries with a chicken escalope with gorgonzola sauce?! Jokers. Had to order a salad to make it look half way decent nd they put tuna on it? I know mixta esalada usually comes with tuna but I asked for a side salad and given I was served pollo why serve tuna! I ordered in Spanish and speak it very well - could have done Italian too! I'm not rude to anyone especially those making me food I know better so it had to be pure incompetence. to end, I was offered coffee and asked if they had oat milk, yes, great, I'll be back in the morning instead.

Had coffee and was greeted by a lovely lady, had her orange cake which was really nice. Returned stupidly for my last meal in San Pedro as really wanted pasta. - stupidly. Service was soooo poor, it wasn't even busy. I could have cried at my mistake but that's dramatic. Finallyyyyyyyyyyy ordered but should have just walked... Rannnnn. Errors on menu meant no pork free pasta?! No help from waiter. Ordered fried aubergine - a local dish - my god disgusting. Anyone with half a skill in the kitchen knows you can't deep fry thick cut aubergine. Tasted it. Didn't eat it, was annoyed to waste food but didn't want tummy issues - embarrassing. Looked at food around me as I left 10euros lighter - all looked miserable - please don't waste your time, money or palette. Just like to give this place a thumbs up! Because Monday a large group of us were looking for a place to eat last minute! It was early 4:30 pm and everything was closed! We found dolce gas was open. Only 1 chef in and 1 waiter probably not prepared for our large group. Our friends basically ordered almost everything on the menu!! Well everything that came out of the kitchen was delicious the service was great and we had small children that ran wild and still the waiter was patient and attentive!! Perfection comes as standard. Food is delicious and out of this world. Great location Service is perfection👏👏👏👏👏 Big massive thank you to our lady server/ waitress.
