Da Bruno San Pedro — Restaurant in Marbella

Absolutely horrible. NOT SERIOUS AT ALL AND THE FOOD IS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. I don't understand why it is always full, if I could give 0 stars I would. My wife is lactose intolerant, and could have ended up in hospital. The waiter was informed of her intolerance, in addition she ordered a dish from the menu that was not marked as containing lactose. Her meal arrived with a sauce which when we asked the head waiter he said it had mayonnaise only to come back and say no no sorry it contains milk and removed it from her plate. The vegetables had a buttery taste, so I got up and asked the lady at the counter and she said they are boiled and sometimes the chef adds butter, so I said please check and explained once more why and she came back from the kitchen to say it contained butter. She followed me to the table to explain this to my wife and my wife refused to eat anything else, which seemed to offend the lady. She then came back after to make excuses and say that my wife's dish did not have butter in the vegetables but someone else from another table who ordered the same dish got the vegetables with butter. When even I tasted the vegetables and they clearly had a buttery taste. This is even more unacceptable as my wife could have been seriously ill because of this. No apology from the staff, just making up excuses/llying, no discount, nothing at all. We were treated like tourists that would never come back, only we live her all year round. ALL IN ALL HORRIBLE SERVICE, MEDIOCRE FOOD AT BEST, AND STAFF THAT CLEARLY DOESNT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS' WELLBEING. AVOID THIS PLACE...

NIGHTMARE AT DA BRUNOS SAN PEDRO have always came here over the years and have never felt the reason to leave a review of negativity , but tonight what an experience Miguel(guy with thick rim glasses ) or similar sounding name clearly did not want our buisness and made it very clear with his attitude and attention to the fact my mother was on a rolator for a disability after her stroke , we were a party of six we order starters which we receive 4 out by of six of them one being my mams forgotten we then wait, another 10 -15 mins on the other two starters they arrive, and as they do Miguel ( glasses ) asks do we want main course !!!!!!served now !!!!! we then receive our main course after 15 mins which is fine but honestly at no stage we were asked for a drink or a top up of a drink , we felt like we were in the Amazon with the amount of flies honestly never experienced the amount of flies ever .Now I know we are in Spain but a couple of candles which we requested after I had to remove the flies from my drink (no exaggeration ) may have kept them away but was completely ignored , Can’t say avoid but if this guy (glasses blue shirt serves you stay well clear , security cameras that were over looking out table can clearly verify our experience , look forward to hearing the...

I would love to give this restaurant a good star review for its food, but I can't, it was just so so.. My overall experience there was disappointing. Service fair, courtesy fair albeit being very busy. After the meal, I asked for the bill and had to wait and ask twice, Got the bill (€73) and placed €100 on the tray. Had to wait and wait and eventually got the waiter and asked for my change, "do you want change". This I thought a bit smart, rude and insulting so I said "yes". When my change arrived lit had a €20 note and the balance (€7) in a deluge of small coins. I was so annoyed that I considered not leaving any tip but I did leave a small one. This based on the fact that there was an attempt to retain all my change as a tip. I also regarded the volume of small coins on the plate further convinced me of this. The decor and furnishings are really excellent, however with the quality of service, had all the charm of a canteen. Reading other patrons reviews, it appears that Dr Bruno in Marbella is vastly superior to this particular branch. I did subsequently receive an email from them based on this review but it was a limp "cut and paste" we will try to do better and didn't address any of my pertinent points.
