KEKI Bread & Pastry — Restaurant in Marbella

With very limited time before my daughters tenth birthday, I contacted Keki bakery who responded immediately to my request for a chocolate birthday cake for 12 people. Not only are they efficient, professional and simply lovely to communicate with, they go above and beyond to assist in creating your ‘cake vision!’ Sourcing a specific colourant to appease my daughters ‘preppy pink’ obsession and made to order by Chef Pablo, his artistry and expertise clearly evident throughout all of his work. The cake truly exceeded our expectations! Not only did it look like a piece of art, with detailed white chocolate curls adorning the top; it was absolutely delicious! Layered with precision, light and moist with the most exquisite chocolate filling that we have ever tasted. As big foodies and lovers of cake and baked goods we would recommend Keki to anyone and everyone! Thankfully, we live near by and have also sampled their huge range of home made pastries, breads and tarts that are equally out of this world! Thank you for making our celebration so special, it truly was the highlight of the party.

We loved this bakery before, but it turns out they don't treat customers with disabilities as well as they have to. I don't think we're going back there again after what happened today. We had a brother with autism spectrum disorder with us, he asked for brownie, but in this bakery, the brownie is generously sprinkled with nuts, so we asked to remove those before serving, otherwise my brother would refuse to eat at all. The staff refused us twice. After that, my mom wanted to pay for it right away so that they could still remove the nuts, but then the staff said that, in this case, they would serve the brownie not on a plate, but in a paper bag. It was not the refusal itself that offended, but its categoricalness. We did take the brownie, asking if it was soft, and were told it was very soft, but when it was brought in, we had difficulty cutting it...

Really not happy with the service or the staff. Quality of the produce not in question. Arrived at 15.10 immediately told they closed at 16.00. Also at this time there were no hot sandwiches as the machine had already been turned off 50 minutes before closing. Was rudely told by a female to sit down she would not take our order at the bar, we were looking to see what pastries we would like. We should have left then. They turned away several people between 15.30 and 15.45 as now the coffee machine had been turned off!!! How can businesses stay afloat when staff are so rude and incompetent, sorry for the owner but he needs to be there or have a manager who knows where the...
