We were at Guadalmina on Wednesday at 18:15 in the evening. Staff was friendly. We ordered Avocado with Salmon and Melanzane alla Parmigiana. Both dishes looked better than they tasted, but as we were hungry, it was okay. But than inside the restaurant we could smell a strong cigarette smell, from the staff smoking behind the kitchen. The smell was so strong, that I got up quickly, paid and left because of this. Getting into my car, I could smell the strong cigarette smell in my clothes. The staff should know that the smell gets into the restaurant when they are smoking behind the kitchen. I will not come here again. @ owner: This review is for Guadalmina. If they were outside, they should mind to close the door, so the smoke doesn't go into the restaurant. At that time there was no staff in the restaurant, they were all in the back where the open door behind the bar is. Looked like a kitchen back there. We sit inside the restaurant instead of the terrace, because we don't want to sit in smoke. Especially for my child.

Un año después decidimos desayunar en este café otra vez. Ya estamos esperando desayuno 40 minutos!!! De los dos camareros una sabe solamente enseñar pestañas. Es evidente que para servir desayunos falta personal. Me da pena que nada ha cambiado. No recomiendo este sitio para desayunar los domingos. Estoy muy agradecido de que la dirección se tome la molestia de responder a los clientes echando la culpa al gobierno y fijando precios de desayuno de 10-15 euros. Tal vez si fuera posible involucrar a todas las personas que trabajan en su cafetería (y conté al menos 5 personas), la calidad del servicio podría mejorar. Por ejemplo, podría enseñar a los empleados a utilizar los terminales de pago e introducir un sistema de pedidos electrónicos, en lugar de tomar todos los pedidos en papel. Alguien solo podría preparar el café y las bebidas mientras tanto, en lugar de tener que cambiar el papeleo de un lugar a otro fingiendo estar a cargo. Todos estos consejos los doy como alguien que conoce de primera mano el funcionamiento de un restaurante. Estuve en el equipo de uno de los mejores proyectos de la Costa del Sol. Por cierto, como el restaurante en el que trabajaba cerró durante la pandemia, no recibí ni un euro de ayuda del Estado y estuve varios meses sin trabajo. Al parecer, esa era la época en la que se buscaba personal. Cuando se trata de la calidad de los alimentos, un cocinero normal debe ser capaz de trabajar con huevos. La calidad de un cocinero se determina por si sabe hacer una tortilla francesa o unos huevos benedictinos. Así que su cocinero no sabía lo básico de la cocina antes de la pandemia, por desgracia, pero después de la pandemia no pudo probar este plato debido a la rapidez de la camarera, que estaba enfrascada en hablar con la dirección, pero en ningún caso en servir a los clientes. Si la dirección del restaurante está dispuesta a expresar el salario por hora o por mes que paga a un camarero, yo personalmente podría facilitar la búsqueda de profesionales. Sin embargo, si su objetivo es obtener superbeneficios reduciendo los salarios del personal y no respetando el convenio de los trabajadores de la restauración, no hay nada que hablar. >Comentario del año anterior >Teníamos que esperar desayuno más de 20 minutos... para luego recibir estos huevos Benedict. Pane & Cioccolato is a restaurant that, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations during my two visits. On both occasions, the food was overcooked or dry, which is a clear indication of a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. Must admit sweet potatoes was good tho but must be for that price :) In addition to the disappointing food, the service was not welcoming, very slow even if restaurant wasn’t full and the staff barely understood English. This made it difficult to communicate with them about menu options or any other needs that may have arisen during my dining experience. If you're looking for a restaurant with a high standard of quality and service, there are many other options available that can provide you with a more enjoyable dining experience.

Update: Based on our two last visits, food quality and service still declining. Toilets for customers still don't seem to be cleaned as often as they used to. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back anymore.

Still friendly staff. We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for the last 5 years or so. We have noticed - during the last 3 visits this year alone- that quality of food and some of the beverages has declined to a certain degree. It doesn't taste as freshly-made as it used to be. Some items that used to be part of a certain meal are not served in the same way or at all anymore, even though prices have gone up. I do understand that prices might have to go up due to inflation, but please keep the high-quality you used to have. Toilets were quite dirty this time on two occasions. Maybe coincidence. I have been coming here for years and went back this week very excited to eat here. After walking in, we were greeted by a very rude blonde middle-aged manager. One of the sassy remarks she made was telling the waitress to tell us “I have already answered That question and the answer is still no”. This is something someone should not say especially in front of clients. Her attitude throughout the whole meal was very rude and condescending. Went back today, And the same thing happened with The 30 year old tall waiter, he talks down on clients to the point where we had to leave. You cannot have servers like this as it determines the image of the restaurant. Needless to say I will not be returning to this restaurant and will not recommend it to anyone as no one should be treated like this by...
