TERRIBLE. The restaurant is a beautiful place BUT the staff is the worse, the food couldbe much better. After we sat down it took a loooong time before a waiter came to take drink orders, although there was a lot of staff and it was not busy at that moment. We were 5 people, they brought 4 menus. It took forever to get the attention of someone to get a 5th menu. We ordered a bottle of wine, yes it is hard to pour 5 glasses, some were very full others got very little. Keep practising! Prices were high so we expected good food. 3 of us ordered fish, one asked to have it without the bones. NO problem, we will do it at the table for you....didn't happen. 28 euros for fish (good taste... but what can go wrong with fish) with a few boiled vegetables. Nobodfy of the staff bothered to pour more wine during the meal. We had some sushi and shrimps (not well fried) as a starter, all the things (sushi sticks, soya bowls) were on the table untill the end of the dinner. We asked the dessert menu, they brought 1 menue for the person who asked for it! In the mean while the plates with fish bones stayed on the table... I asked the waiter to bring more menus, he rolled his eyes, talked to his colleague waiter, who stared at me. You DON'T do this! After bringing the 4 menues the waiter did the same again, the other waiter again looked at us while our waiter obviously was gossiping about us. The whole feeling of having a nice dinner was gone. We had coffees, a few without cafeine, the waiter brought the coffees and had NO clue if it was with of without cafeine... thank you! One person at the table CAN'T drink cafeine due to medical reasons. It was not 1 thing, but everything was very poor. No class, waiters not interested, confused... The high bill for 5 persons was a waste. To the owner" very beautifull restaurant, but educate your staff. They have no clue what they are supose to do. When we left NOBODDY of the staff, not at the bar which we passed, bothered to say thank...
Read moreYesterday we visited the restaurant Playa Nini in San Pedro with our family and friends, and what happened there was completely unacceptable. While we were reading the menu, a large ceiling lamp suddenly fell and hit my friend on the head, also injuring my hands. She has been suffering from severe headaches ever since, and we had to take her to the hospital to check for a concussion. But the worst part was not the accident itself, but how the restaurant handled it. The waiter didn’t try to help at all! instead, the first thing he did was take photos of the lamp. Only after that did he ask if we were okay. When I said no, he brought us some ice and walked away. There was no apology, no concern for how my friend was feeling, no sympathy whatsoever. We weren’t even offered a different table, although there were two more identical lamps still hanging above us. I asked what would happen if one of those also fell, and the waiter just smiled and said, “One already fell, it’s unlikely another one will.” When I pointed out that my three-year-old daughter had been sitting right next to the person who got hit, he again smiled and said, “But nothing happened to her.” We ended up staying because we were very hungry, which made the situation feel even more absurd. Throughout the rest of the evening, the staff acted like nothing had happened. Until the moment we got the bill, we kept expecting the restaurant to do something: offer a gesture, say something, show even the slightest bit of care. But absolutely nothing was done. No apology, no small gesture, not even a complimentary bottle of water. Total indifference and zero responsibility. This is, without exaggeration, the most unpleasant experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant. We are seriously considering filing a formal complaint. If you care about safety and basic human respect, I strongly advise you not to visit...
Read moreThis is my first ever review, but I felt absolutely compelled to write it in hopes of sparing others from the awful experience we had.
We were a family of 8, seated in what initially seemed like a lovely setting. We placed our orders, all seemed ok at the point. Six of us received and finished our meals, while two were still waiting - for a further two hours!!!
We were eventually told the sushi comes from a separate kitchen, but no one mentioned this at the time of ordering. Throughout the two-hour wait, we asked at least ten times for an update and were met with vague, dismissive, and rude responses. No apology. No explanation. Just “you need to wait.”
We nearly walked out, but my daughter was hungry and still hopeful her meal would arrive. It finally did, but two hours late.
To make matters worse, when the bill came, there was no gesture of goodwill, refusing to take off the meals that were so late, not even an apology. In fact, the staff became aggressive, telling us to pay immediately or they would call the police. It was truly shocking!! My kids were getting upset so we had to pay just so we could leave this place and absolutely never return!!
What was meant to be a special final night of our holiday turned into a frustrating and upsetting ordeal. We weren’t the only ones to feel this way - nearly every table around us had issues. One family had a child with a serious food allergy, and the restaurant brought out a dish containing the exact allergen they were warned about. Absolutely unacceptable.
And the manager spends all night on the phone ignoring everyone and has no interest in resolving anything!!!
My advice: AVOID...
