Restaurante La Campana — Restaurant in Marbella

I would like to give this restaurant a good a review, but the best I can do is adequate! Our waiter was a lovely chap - such a shame it was his last day - having said that, the other waiters and waitresses were rarely seen especially when you need something! Sunday lunch was adequate apparently - my sisters beef was rare - just perfect. My salmon came with a Yorkshire pudding and gravy - all I could do was laugh! I mentioned to the chef that gravy and salmon don't really go - he said the gravy should have been in the Yorkshire pudding and walked away before I could explain! Someone on our table had the crumble for pudding which he said was awful. The worst he's had. A lovely looking restaurant. The normal menu seems expensive too. My seat cover was wet - but they replaced the chair but the damage was done!!! A bit of work...

The prawn pil pil was good, but the pizza was awful. A poorly made tomato sauce resulted in a bland/no flavor pizza with an equally bland pizza base. The buffalo mozzarella was put on top after it was cooked which I found strange and unappealing.

I usually only post reviews when I like restaurants & just don’t return to those I don’t like, however in this case apart from the disappointing food I was charged €3.50 for a very small cheap plastic bottle of water - you could at least make the effort and put it into a more attractive glass bottle if you plan on charging such an inflated price for water. I paid €2.50 for a bigger bottle in a restaurant down the port.

Safe to say it was my first and last visit to this restaurant.

Amazing variety on the menu and it’s all heavenly delicious!

Hands down the best pil-pil in town. Best lobster, steaks, and house made spring-rolls. The pepper steak sauce is out of this world!

Fresh desserts and impressive selection of wines. - It is obvious people here love what they do.

Will definitely come back to try a 2 set “Menu del Dia” for an unbelievable 10€, and then the rest of the menu with my loved ones.

Thank you for setting a new high standard for restaurants...
