A Gem by the Beach – One of Our Favorites in Marbella

We’ve visited this small, local restaurant several times, and it’s always a wonderful experience. The food is simple yet incredibly tasty – every dish feels prepared with care and a love for the ingredients. The staff are always friendly, attentive, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome.

It’s also a perfect spot for families with children. Since the restaurant is located right by the beach, kids can run out and play between courses, making the meal both relaxing and enjoyable for everyone. Special dietary needs are no problem at all – the staff are attentive and happy to adapt to your preferences.

We should've left when we noticed that they had no soap or paper towels in the bathroom. Food was mixed, but they tried to scam us at the end, hence 1 star.

Fries were undercooked, but they made them crispy after telling them. Avocado with shrimp was good.

The turbot we ordered was completely black on the outside, unfortunately making the skin entirely indedible because of the bitter, burnt charcoal taste. We didn't want to make another complaint, though. Maybe that's just how they serve it, though it's a waste of a good fish.

Child friendly and good service. Stopped in Marbella on our way back to Mijas from Gibraltar and were disappointed to find minimal restaurant selections open for business in late June. Stopped in as this had the fewest number of smokers in the adjoining tables. The children left happy and full eating basic spaghetti pasta, can't remember what my husband had other than a beer.
