Trattoria La Bella Fiastra — Restaurant in Marbella

Almost excellent experience. Almost...We had a simple menu consisting of two pastas and pizza,but I need to say that all three foods were delicious. The restaurant is nice and sitting there in August evening has special atmosphere. What marrs the total impression somewhat was service - first strange point was the need to wait someone to be seated. This got even stranger because we came from other direction and entered from the side which was not meant for the entrance of guests - but there was no information about this and you learn this only through somewhat awkward first-time communication with a waiter. But this was not a major problem - what, however, major problem was was the service itself. This odd thing with "wait to be seated" approach was evidently meant to improve the organization (because they even had a book for marking tables). Unfortunately, in my eyes,this did not work well. One waiter came to us to ask for drinks,the other one came for food and just another one to handle paying. Well, I would not mind that if it worked quickly - but it did not. We even had additonal order for two beers, which took them maybe 20 minutes to bring and another 15 to bring us the bill. Not that I say that the staff was not doing anything - they were constantly moving but the restaurant was far from full and still it took so long to serve simple orders means that they still need to improve...

Service was terrible. Table booked for 7.30 last Monday and we had to wait until 7.50 even though there were 2 empty tables beside ours. We ordered 2 different starters between 3 of us but we received 2 starters the same. We ordered agua con gas and we received still water. I ordered pizza and my 2 friends ordered pasta -i received my pizza (which was gorgeous) and I finished it slowly but my friends still hadn't received their pastas. After a further wait - they took away my empty plate and then arrived with the pasta for my friends. They seemed distracted and they weren't listening to our orders and if they had even apologised - we wouldn't have felt so angry. During all this chaos we continually tried to get their attention to say the orders were wrong but they just kept joking us in italian and saying don't worry and rushing off. One pasta dish was lovely but a very small portion and the other was very very 'al dente' !! I tried to complain saying the portions were really small and that it was very little food for a main dish and the waiter laughed saying it was a 'primo piatto' - at that stage we gave up and ordered coffee elsewhere. Good food, literally one of the best pizzas ive had. We ate here teice during our week staying in Elviria. And would probably eat here if we came again. However, the manager, i presume hes the manager is a total waste of space/time. We booked a place over the phone, but didnt ask for outside. So during our visit to carrefour the morning before our visit here we popped in and requested an outside seat. When we turned up we were told we booked inside. Anyway, we said no we'll go elsewhere, and they ended up giving us an outside seat. Great. But the rush they tried to put is under was hilarious. Usually i wouldnt mind. But when my little girl needed the loo is what annoyned me. We went to the loo, all good, but on our way bsck to our outside table the manager shoved past me seperating me from my daughter. He had a bunch of customers behind him and i literally watched my little girl fall to the floor and start crying without being able to dp anything all thanks to this idiots bad attitude. Safe to say we took our time after and left no tip. Disgrace of a manager, but a top restaurant....
