It's a shame to write this review as I've always loved the beach house, but this was just a rubbish experience. I know it's €50 a bed, I know it's €85pp to eat on a Sunday, and that you can only have two kids per two adults. I totally understand that it's more than you should pay for the basic offering, but you get entrainment and atmosphere and excellent service. Sadly that just wasn't the case. I went with three kids, but two were older so I told them they couldn't have the kids menu (even though all the wanted was a burger) as I get there are rules and the venue is looking for a minimum spend per head. The welcoming team are always friendly and efficient - that was still the same case. After that is where it went wrong. We were seated in a makeshift sunbed row. I could have complained but, do you know what, it didn't bother me, it was still a bed and it wasn't the end of the world that people were brushing past the ends of our beds all day as they walked along the beach. The guy even asked when he seated us if that was okay as the people before had complained. No problems. Maybe we were a little out of the way, maybe we just weren't exciting enough as a mam with three kids.... After I'd asked for a food/drink menu three times, I gave up, and just asked for drinks I knew would be on the menu. We were on the beds for five hours, (although an hour was on the obstacle course). I managed to get their attention enough twice in this time to get drinks. We then went for dinner. We waited 15mins for our table. Again, not the end of the world for us, but maybe for other people. We had to ask to have our order. Starters came quickly enough. An hour later (this is now 7pm btw, our booking was for 5pm) they brought over the dessert menus. I told them we still hadn't had our main meals. They came relatively quickly after that within 15 mins. I'd asked for water twice, but explained that the kids wouldn't drink it, so just one bottle for me. Twice they brought two bottles. I asked three different people for the bill. When it came it had €43 service charge automatically added. I never do this but, I asked for it to be taken off. Plus the two additional bottles of water. I'm sorry, but the service was terrible. A real shame because the food and drinks were lovely. Not once did anyone recognize that we'd had bad service and come over to say sorry about that. At least put your hands up and own it. On a more sensitive note, the entertainment was not great. Music policy perfect for the audience. But sadly the singer's voice was so hoarse that they couldn't sing most of the songs. I feel very sorry for them, as their showmanship was excellent, but it just wasn't a great sound.
All in all a real disappointment. I know we all have to make hay while the sun shines, but I'd cut the covers down a bit and focus on excellent service delivery - the team is probably doing the best they can with too...
Read moreAs someone who appreciates a good meal and values thoughtful service, I feel compelled to share my delightful experience at this remarkable beachfront restaurant. If the exquisite location and tantalizing aromas wafting from the kitchen don't immediately draw you in, then the pleasant surprise of their superb food surely will.
While the setting certainly sets high expectations, the real joy was in discovering that the food here is not just good, it's truly exceptional. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully conceived and expertly prepared, creating a symphony of flavors that had us singing praises with each bite. It's one thing to enjoy a meal, but to be pleasantly surprised by its quality is a culinary experience that's all too rare and one that this restaurant delivered in spades.
Beyond the quality of the food, what turned our visit from good to great, and ultimately to outstanding, was the staff. During our meal, we encountered a bit of a hiccup when our young child had a small crisis. Instead of reacting with impatience or frustration, the staff at this restaurant displayed true grace and compassion.
Rather than making us feel unwelcome or uncomfortable, they stepped in and helped us soothe our little one, turning a potentially stressful situation into a demonstration of kindness that left us both relieved and deeply grateful. It's this level of customer service that makes a good restaurant great and turns a great restaurant into something truly special.
To anyone considering a visit, let me assure you, this beachfront restaurant offers not just a meal, but a dining experience that will surprise and delight you. To the restaurant's wonderful staff, let me say thank you. Your kind actions went beyond the call of duty and truly made our day.
In conclusion, if you're in search of an unforgettable meal accompanied by exceptional customer service, look no further than this beachside gem. It's an experience I wholeheartedly recommend and one I'm already...
Read moreWe recently dined at The Beach House as a group. The lady who appeared to be the manager greeted us—she was lovely and very professional—but unfortunately, the rest of the staff let the experience down.
We ordered non-alcoholic Mocktails due to personal reasons, before the waiter left the table we double checked that he had understood that the drinks should without alcohol ( in both Spanish and English) however were still served alcoholic ones. We only realised this after drinking some. When we raised this, the manager took the drinks away to be checked, confirmed they did contain alcohol, apologised, replaced them, and didn’t charge us. Whilst this situation should never have occurred, to her credit she handled things really well and was very apologetic.
That said, the service overall was chaotic and disorganised. It was a busy evening, which we understand, but basic service was lacking. Sparkling water took over 30 minutes and four reminders to arrive. The same happened with bread—we had to ask three different staff members. We constantly had to chase up drinks we’d already ordered, and no one checked on us at any point during the meal—not even to ask if everything was okay, whether we had our full order, or if we needed anything else.
Staff were not warm or friendly; most couldn’t answer simple questions on the menu and barely spoke or acknowledged you. The overall atmosphere felt more transactional than welcoming. At the end, there was no thank you or “did you enjoy your meal”—just the bill handed to us and a question about whether the leftover cash was the tip.
The food was nice, and the setting is beautiful, but generally the service was quite cold and uninviting. I live nearby and had really hoped to enjoy the experience, but sadly, there are far better places in the area—where I spend a fraction of what we spent here and receive far better service....
